When you imagine a princess, most would picture a pretty girl twirling in a ball gown with a beautiful tiara on her head and a gorgeous smile that could light up a room.... that wasn't me.

"WHAT THE HELL!" I screamed at the top of my lungs my hands thrown up in the air. And the oh so beautiful tiara, thrown onto the floor, Hair ruined with mud strewn in tangles, along with the lavender ball gown matching my new hairstyle.

"Islani! That is not ho-"

"I don't give a damn! How dare you not tell me!" I interrupted her abruptly leaving her face awestruck and mouth agape.

But wait, you probably want to know what it is I so angrily am shouting about... let's go back to the beginning two hours ago

I was lounging around in writing mistress' room happily writing in my notepad on a few ways to create a fire on Madame Cirri's head and duck out of class. You know, just to keep my mind juices flowing... yeah not really.

After my five ideas came to being, the next problem would be to decide if I really would or not, but an opportunity presented itself to me once I got my head out of the notepad. Snoring.

Madame Cirri was back in her chair snoring. And snoring rather loudly at that. And about as much as the temptation to singe her curly auburn hair to a crisp cried out to me, I resisted.

After my reasons of not setting her head on fire settled, I had another matter. How was I to get out? I couldn't just walk out the door, there are guards posted outside the door, and they most definitely wouldn't let me leave early. I bit my lip and rubbed my neck like I usually do when I'm thinking.
Glancing around the room, a flashing light stung my eyes. I covered it with my hand and winced to see what it was, and low and behold, my eye pain was my savior. A window was just above the bookshelf with the sun shining bright in my face. Perfect.

All I had to do was climb up the bookcase, break the screen afront of the glass without waking snoring bookworm over there. Then all I had to do was slide the window, and hop down into the free land, luckily the drop wasn't so high, maybe a 5 foot drop, no biggie.

My calculations were correct, but I didn't think of the impact I would have when I leaped to freedom. "UGGGHH!" I groaned in pain. Freedom didn't feel so good at the moment. I had landed on my butt, and it felt like I had just broken it.

I knew had to keep moving, regardless of my sore bottom, if I didn't move, a guard or Ms. C would find me. I stood up and ran off to the stables. Why the stables you may ask? To take a small joy ride.

My butt wasn't so sore when I reached my horse. Luckily after years of experience in sneaking about, I stealthily snuck about aware of the attendants but them unaware of me. "Shhh shh" I patted Felicity's head "we're just going to be getting on for a bit" I untied her from the post she was wrapped around and popped my head up from her stable to see if anyone was around. No one. I opened the gate and slowly walked me, my horse, and the saddle in my arm out.

"HALT!"

I stopped in my tracks, frozen on the spot. I was going to get caught, I was going to be turned in....

Something in me clicked instantly, and right away I dropped the saddle and lunged forward and then leaped while pulling on Felicity's strong mane to gain momentum. I swung back and instantly kicked my legs over my horse. "Yuh!" I shouted to Felicity and she galloped off me in tow, leaving the man calling out to me hopelessly.

I smiled and tightened my legs on Felicity's side, telling her to move faster. I raised my hand above my head as I felt the thrill of wind and speed pass by my gleaming face. Maybe I was wrong, freedom felt amazing!
