Chapter One

Annabeth

December 12th, 2015

"Wake up, Seaweed Brain!" I call to Percy. He looks so cute when he drools!

"Wha...?" He mutters as I dive in for a kiss.

"I'm going to go meet up with my friends today and I invited the guys over so you'll have something to do." He pulled me close to him and wrapped his arms around me. Giving me a passionate kiss, he looked at me with those sea-green eyes that had entranced me for years. I desperately wanted to stay in bed with him, but I had told my friends I would meet them at 10, and it was already 9:30, so I pulled myself out of bed and grabbed a towel, heading toward the bathroom. I took a quick shower, went back into the room to get dressed, and kissed a still-groggy Percy as I grabbed a granola bar.

"Love you, babe."

As I was getting up, I heard a knock at the door. I grabbed a robe and groggily yelled,

"Come in!" It was "The Guys", meaning Jason, Leo, Grover, Frank, and Tyson. Tyson immediately gave me a big bear-hug, nearly crushing my ribs in the process. When he let go, he said "Hi, brother!". Jason high-fived me, Frank slapped my back, and Leo mock-saluted me. Grover, the only "Normal" one, simply walked in and seated himself on our water couch. After they all seated themselves, Jason took a deep breath.

"Hey guys, so ummm, I think I might propose to Piper. What do you think?" After a series of wolf calls from Leo and a sly grin from Frank, we all calmed down.

"You should go for it, dude!" I said excitedly.

"Yeah, Totally!" Grover said.

"Should we go to Macy's today to buy a ring?" Frank spoke up.

"Sounds like fun!" Tyson and Leo said simultaneously.

"Mmm-k" Jason murmured, suddenly a deep shade of red. We went outside to my red Mazerati and piled in. I loved that in Portland, it didn't matter what kind of car you had, or what you looked like. We drove in silence to the Lloyd Center Mall, and got out, Jason with a bulging wallet. He claimed to have saved up for 5 months. It showed. We walked into Macy's and the first thing I saw was a flash of golden hair... Annabeth! Oh no!
