"Dad! No! You can't send me there!"
"You have to understand that I can't take care of you anymore! I have to take care of your sister!"
The young boy continues to cry, big hot tears continuing to rush down his face.
"Your mother is dead! DEAD! There is no way I can care for you anymore!"
There is a moment of silence in the room, other than the sound of constant sobs from the boy.
"Dad, please....."
"I'm not your dad anymore! You'll find new parents where you're going! But you must promise me one thing Lynx....."
The boy looks up at his father in confusion.
"Never, ever forget your sister.... Okay?"
He nods and continues to sob "I wont.... I promise..."
