PYAAR KA RANG

URMILA'S P.O.V.

I was sleeping peacefully, dreaming of the return of my husband, when I felt a tuck in my hand and a call. Was someone calling me? But who and why? There was a certain desperation in the voice, I tried opening my eyes.

After opening my eyes I blinked twice or thrice trying to adjust my vision, it was after that I felt a hand holding mine, and saw some man sitting by my side. I immedietly was filled with fury. How dare he touch me? I stood up and grabbed the knife from near by fruit basket as my weapon.

After interrogating him, he claimed himself to be my Soumitra, my Swami. Ha ! He thinks he can fool me. I am not among those ladies who are depended on their male-counterpart for protection. I can protect myself, and my family, that is what I have been doing for past many years. I was about to strike at him with the weapon, when the whole family barged in because of the commotion caused.

As soon as I saw all the mothers, my sisters, brother-in-law, and Ram bhaiya and Sita didi ! They are back! My happiness knew no bounds and I hugged them and greeted them immedietly. It was then that Mata Kakeyi made me aware of the fact that, the man standing infront of me was mine other than Lakshman, my Lakshman.

I was over-whelmed to see him after so many years, I wanted to rush to him and engulf him in a hug, never letting him go again. But my senses made me aware of the surrounding and people standing there. How can I just greet him infront of all the Matas? All I could do was drink the beauty of his pretty face, and feel the love which was being showered on me by his pretty eyes, but wait! What was that? Guilt?!? But why? Oh I need to meet this man in privacy.  I was in my trance, broken by Shrutkirti's words about crowning of Ram bhaiya, ahh! again my duty called for me. They need me and I gotta help them. Thats my duty. With a heavy heart I left my Soumitra, without making any eye-contact. I could feel he was sad at it, but I can make him understand later.

He tried to talk to me not once, but many times, but the circumstances stopped me from making any progress. It was now time for Ram bhaiya's crowning. It was conducted with all the rites done properly, lastly placing of the crown on the deserving head, thus giving the city of Ayodhya its righteous king, Ram bhaiya. The whole city broke into fits of happiness and celebration. Colours were prepared to celebrate the crowning, it looked as if holi had come again. Bharat bhaiya and Shatrughan along with their respective wives went to join the subjects in the celebration. I could see Soumitra also approaching towards me, maybe for the same reason as his brothers.

The colour if my face was getting pale, I was feeling so nervous altogther. How can he just grab my hand like that infront of everyone? I don't know but these fourteen years has made me nervous and concious infront of him. It was then that Sita didi called me for help, and I immedietly jerked away His hand and rushed to Sita didi's aid. I could feel the pain of rejection in his eyes. I wanted to go to him, take him in my arms and let him know that I can never reject him, infact I am feeling need of his love and care.

A certain misunderstanding can break many hearts.

NO-ONE'S P.O.V.

Two hearts yerning for a moment if togetherness, was away because of their duty. Strange, when they were miles away, they were closest. Today they are feets away, yet far from each other. It was not them, but their destiny who planned to be a hurdle in their re-unification, by cropping situations calling them for their duties.

IN GARDEN

Whole palace and city was in joy but for those two hearts, who were busy stealing glances, both feeling awkward to approach first. Lakshman was with his brothers and their wives, amidst the subject celebrating the occassion, yet he was feeling something at amiss. There passed his lady love, busy with her work. He smiled at her.

"Oh Mila, how can you be so much selfless. You served the family for fourteen years, forgetting your pain, disguising itbin behind your smile. And today also you are more concerned about others than your own self." Taking the advantage of his carelessness, Shatrughan threw colour his twin.

Coming back to reality Lakshman saw his brothers laughing at him, after splashing another bowl of colour on him. Taking it as a matter of funny revenge he ran to grab the nearest plate full of coloured powder. He ran after his brothers in full speed.

Bharat and Shatrughan too ran for their life, but git caught in a corner.

Lakshman (with an evil smirk)-" where will you both go now? O brothers ! You messed with wrong person, now bear its fruits " n with that he threw the whole plate of colour on them.

"I told you, you cannot escape from me for long. Look finally I caught you. Lakshman gets what he wants" Said a happy Lakshman.

"Yes indeed you caught, what you wanted brother" came Bharat's teasing voice , While Shatrughan gestured Lakshman to look infront and the brothers ran away giggling.

Shocked Lakshman loomed ahead and saw his bride standing infront of him, coloured completly red.

Lakshman-"I am sorry Mi.... I mean Urmila. I didn't mean it for you, it was for them. I am really sorry" saying so he moved a step forward trying to wipe of the voloyr from her head. But She caught his hands.

"Don't. Just don't wipe it. It is my sign of being married, and that my love is all fine. Why are you sorry? Because you coloured me red, with your love? Oh my innocemt husband." Saying so she hugged him immedietly.

"Finally our plan worked" hi-5 the trio couple. Yes the sisters and brothers has watched the awkwardness and shyness between Lakshman and Urmila hence they decided to give them the moment of privacy. As whole palace was busy in celebeations, Bharat and Shatrughan made Lakshman behind them till the corner near Lakshman's room, while the sistres made Urmila go to the corner by giving her some excuse. They smiled and went away, leaving the couple to themselves.

Urmila-"and for you I am always Mila.. your Mila." She smiled looking into his eyes, but then she found what had disturbed her earlier too. "What is this swami? Why I see guiltbin your eyes? Why are you guilty swami?"

Lakshman-"Mila why should I not be guilty? I am your culprit, who bestowed your life with darkness for fourten long years.  Infact You should punish me for my act."

Urmila-"you are right swami. You indeed deserve a punishment." He looked at her with hopeful eyes. "And your punishment is that you have to cover for all the saddness you have given me, in form of love, care and happiness as principle and not to forget, I want this along with the interest" she said encircling her arms around his neck and looking straight into his eyes.

Lakshman had a mischivious glint in his eyes.

"Well if that is my punishment, let me keep it in my mind and start fulfilling it from now" he cocked up his eye-brows.

Urmila-"meaning?"

Lakshman-"meaning my emchantress let me cover up for the love from today itself." Saying so he sweepee her off her feet in one swift movement, thus holding her into his arms. At with a new ray and promise they entered their room, for a bright and happy future with moments of togetherness
