*heyy everyone the stories almost over!! Wahhhhh:( but I got a new one coming along its called its you or me! Check it out and tell your friends!!*
"Where to go?" I thought. "maybe the dinner table where we chatted and laughed? maybe when the school day ends from Franklin Elementary School and we sit on the school steps, him and I always talked about my old teacher mrs. Carrie with the weird wrinkles and too much makeup. or maybe when we cleaned the house together? turning up the music as loud as we could until the house shook and mom yelled. So many places we had the best of times I wouldn't know where to look first!" I grabbed my notebook and new birthday pencil from my teacher, freshly sharpened. I wrote down a list of the places I would go to.
"1.home to the dinner table 2.the school steps 3.the vacuum him and I used to clean"
I ripped the page out from the notebook and tucked it into my blue jacket pocket which was filled with other clues. I ran to my house with my brain filled with curiosity and excitement.
When I arrived home max was slower than a sloth from his long run. I gave him a break and put him a bowl of cool water of the floor for him. I slid under the table to look for some kind of object or letter. My eyes felt so scattered, looking for something and I didn't even know what I was looking for! I had my eyes look several times till I decided to use my hands. I felt the old banged up table shoving multiple splinters into my fingers. I finally felt some where bump. I tried to take it off the table but failed. I used my nails and managed to peel it off. It was painted to the color of the table. It was a puzzle piece! Now what am I supposed to get out of a puzzle piece?!? Maybe this isn't what I was supposed to find... I stuffed it into my pocket with all the other objects. I skipped my next one of the school and went to the vacuum since I was already here and max had taken a cat nap. I opened the front closet and pulled out the ancient vacuum and scanned it from all angles. I found nothing on the vacuum. Where else could you look for something on a vacuum? Max stomach growled in the background. "Oh Maxie you must be starving. Lets fill you up!" I put another bowl on the floor near his other one and filled the insides with food. INSIDES!!! THAT'S WHERE TO LOOK! I had figured it out! I opened the canister where the garbage was stored and searched through it. I found nothing too interesting. A piece of string, a wrapper, a paper clip, a puzzle piece, and a...... wait! Another puzzle piece!!! Maybe I'm looking for a puzzle! *duhh moment* I grabbed max's leash and we scrambled down the street to my school.
I tied max's leash to the railing so I could look around. I tried to relive the moments with him. I sat down on the middle step next to the plant hoping something would happen. I looked all around. I finally noticed a colored UFO in the plant. And if you hadn't already guessed it was a puzzle piece! but I can't make a puzzle with three pieces. I took max and I back to the park and sat down on the bench again. I looked around trying to think about one more place my dad and I had memories. I glanced around. It didnt hit me till I saw it a few times but I found it. The place, the place where my dad would take me on every birthday I had, he would take me when I sad, bored, any emotion! it was the place I took my time to get there thinking "I have finished the journey my dad sent me on." I stepped foot after foot and got to the wood chips. I took a seat and pumped my legs till I had reached the top and jump off into the sand pit. I ran back to the swing and checked under it. And just as I expected the final puzzle piece. I sat next to max on the grass to the side and put the pieces together. The puzzle had a message.
"Dear Josh,
I'm always in your heart.
Love,
Dad!"

When school ended later that day Joshie grabbed all his things put in his back and walked straight to the park. He sat on the swings and pumped his little legs till steam poured out.
