*hey everyone!!! so i need another idea for my story if you got an idea be my fan and ill chat ya!! so what does everyone think Joshie is getting from mr. welch???? well youll just have to read it byeee!!*

I heard it again and again. What was it? Mr. Welch told me to close my eyes so I did. I felt a breeze of excitement blow through me. "Okay open," I open my eyes and was greeted my a soft, furry, animal. It was a dog!! The thing that grandmother had been talking about getting me for awhile. "Your Grandmother asked me to pick it up." I had no idea what to say I was so over joyed with happiness. It was a little black and white dog. It was fluffy and soft. I took the leash into my hand and let the dog run. "You know you are going to have to name him," he told me. "Oh yeah. I think I'll name him Max." I had named him Max because of my great grandfather. He was the most adventurous person I knew until he disappeared one day. I wanted to be just like him when I grew up. A explorer/inventor. "Thank you Mr. Welch." "Your Welcome Josh," I waved goodbye and headed to the next door neighbor.

As I walked to the house next door I thought about how great my adventure was going. I had gotten one of the things I wanted most, a dog. I had also met lots of new friends. My dad was a great thinker. He knew so many stories. He would always tell me a story before bed. The story was always about grandfather too. He would go on and on until I would fall asleep. Sometimes my mom would have to come into the room and tell us to go to bed.

I reached next door and saw an bigger man sitting on the concrete. "Hello. My name is Josh. Whats you name?" I asked "My name Jonson. I live here." "Well I need to tell you something. My name is Josh Tolpil. My parents go hit by a semi and died when I was five. I now live with my grandmother. My dad left me a box of things. One of the things was a note." I handed the man the note. "I'm sorry little boy but u can't read. Would you read it for me?" I took the note and read it out loud. I read it nice and slow so he would understand. Once I reached the bottom he opened his arms up and gave me a big hug. "Oh okay sir please let go," he gently let go of me and handed me a crumbled up piece of paper. It said: "2324 Parkway Avenue". That must have been where my father had wanted me to go. I gave the man a smile. I snatched my camera quick and clicked a picture. "Thank you." I said as I ran away.

I was out of breath. I reached the park. I went to take a seat on a bench. I was now in the right area. I needed to find this place. I caught my breath and started to walk again. I looked at the address numbers: 2320, 2321, 2322, 2323, 2324. There it was the place that I was looking for the one I needed to visit. I glanced up to see what kind of place it was. It was a lock store. As I walked through the door. I heard the bell ring that was hanging above the door. "Hey! Welcome to Lock World! Where have keyzy prices! What can I do for you today?" the man was so peppy and happy or so it seemed. "Well, my name is Josh Tolpil. My parents died when I was 5 years old in a car accident. My grandmother takes care of me now. My dad left me a box of things. It had a note in it." I handed him the note and continued. "i went to a man on the street and he gave me this," I handed him the other paper. "and now read." he listened to me and read the papers. " Yeah I got something for you," He handed the notes to me and went to the back room. I looked around the store. All I saw were locks. It was a little scary. When the man came out he hand me a lock. "This was waiting here for you,"i lock at the "and this." now he handed me a piece of paper. "Thank you," I went out the door and back to the park. I found a nice dry bench to read the note. I unfolded the note and read it "Dear Josh, Your doing great. I'm so proud of you! Now that you have the lock, you must find the key. Here's a hint: 4563, escalade 3. Hope you can figure it out son. Love you, Dad." I had already started thinking about the hint. What was that supposed to mean. I had to think hard before I had an idea. Well I guess that 4563 could be an address. Escalade means could mean to go up. And three could mean how many to go up. I thought. Let's give it a shot.

I start to walk when I look at my watch, 4:15. I decided to give Grandmother a call and tell her I was sleeping over at Sean's house. (I didn't like lying to Grandmother but I didn't want her to know that I was still thinking about Dad). I went to the phone booth, enter my coins, and dialed Grandma's number. "Hello?" "Hi Grandma its Joshie" "Hi Josh" "Just wanted to tell you that I was going to sleep over at Sean's house" "Ok Josh bye now" "Bye" and I hung up. I could now continue my journey. I looked at the building next to me. I wanted to know where I was starting to look for 4563. I found it but it was a little rusty. 4390. I started to run as fast I could to get there as fast as I could. 4400. Getting closer. Running faster, painting harder. 4467. Almost there. I took a little break from running and just walked. I needed to think what to do. I had nowhere to go tonight. Max was getting tired, looked thirsty, and hungry. I needed a place to sleep too. I decided to let this wait and start running. Max ran next to me. His little feet moving fast. He made me smile. I looked to the building next to me, 4301.

Now this was it. But where was I supposed to look? There was no hint about hiding places. The building was a condo building. Bricks covered the condo red to be exact made me think about the three little pigs one of my favorite stories. The door was closed and most likely locked. I started to glance around the little porch. I checked in and under the beautiful roses, nothing there. I checked around the lawn chair and saw nothing. But then my eyes spotted something so mysterious I just had to look. It was a book called The Book Of Secrets. I decided it wouldn't hurt to flip through the book. I took a seat in the uncomfortable lawn chair and turned some pages. The book seemed old with wrinkly pages and faded words. It smelled like Tuesday's rain. I stop on one page that was just filled with different words. Almost as f I could have been a puzzle. I needed more time to look at this book. I knocked on the door of the condo. The door hinges rusty and broken squeaked open. A young women appeared in the door way "excuse me I was wonder who's book is this?" "Hello dear. It was a book left in the house before I moved in. You can have if you would like it to." "We'll thank you very much miss" I was joyed. I grabbed my new old book and walk with max back to the park bench. I flipped back to the puzzle page. It was filled with mysterious words. My mind was tied in a knot. Where was I supposed to read first! I looked to the top and planned to start there.

The first word I read was imagine. "Imagine everything..." And then the words turned like a maze "...with a happy ending. Nothing has horrors for bumps. We would all live our fairy tales. Nobody would cry of sadness or depression only years full of smiles and joy. But that's not how life goes you have to do something wrong to get something right. Mistakes equals learning. But slowing down because of slip ups or bumps isn't bad. Take your time to regroup. If you start to get over something too soon you can be left with a emotional scar. And if you wait to long to move on you can scar yourself even more. You can not chose the way it goes it just happens. But the strongest can appreciate what they are given. And a message to you my friend. Be a one of those strong people. Be grateful." And then an arrow to turn the page.

"Dear Joshie,

I miss you lots and hope you're being strong with the way things went. You have one final tasks to do until you can rest. Here's your clue to find your destination. Try and remember our favorite place to go. Think long and hard. I'm sure you'll find it. I love you with all my heart Josh. Don't ever give up on anything in life. You're a very good person and I know that you'll go far! Love you! <3

Yours Truly,

Dad"
