What just happened? Why did he hug me like that, more importantly why didn't I want him to let go? If that bell hadn't rang I don't know what I would have done. Agh dammit I screwed up, what is wrong with me! What type of friend just runs away when they just got the most amazing and beautiful gift they could ask for, I didn't even at thank you!

"Ms. Knobs, would you mind explaining what has got you so distracted that you can't pay attention to the lesson?"

"I'm sorry Mr. Jacklin it won't happen again."

"Pay attention Ms. knobs."

Knobs, I hate my last name, of course it couldn't be as generic as Smith. I don't know how many times I told him to call me Ally. I guess this is what I get for coming in late throughout the year, but let's be honest nobody necessarily likes math so he shouldn't be surprised. I just can't wait to be done with this year already! All it's been is one pain after another with all the homework and power points, a lesson to all, never be dumb enough to take honors!

"Ms. Knobs please explain how you answered question 25 out of your book, surely you've done it."

This guy....

" The answer to number 25 is 11.53 and I was hoping you could give me a pass on explaining?"

"And why would I do that?"

"It's my birthday Mr. Jacklin, so you can understand why I'm so distracted right?"

Thank the lord that as he was about to say something, that I know I wouldn't have liked to hear the bell rang. Talk about being saved by the bell, and not only once but twice now. Today might not be so bad after all.

I've decided I'm just going to forget about it , I'm going to thank Jack and continue the rest of the day like any other, I mean it was just a sincere hug..right?

"Hey! Hey Ally slow down!"

I look back. Thank god, someone who can take my mind off my over analyzing self. It was Sarah, my closest friend, other than Jack of course.

Sarah is a 5'7 blonde with perfect curls. Her eyes are as blue as the fricking ocean and has a body I would kill to have, the girls near damn perfect and she likes to complain to me how she wishes she was pretty. I love the girl but sometimes I want to ring her neck when she says some of the things she does. I mean here I am only 5'2 with boring brown hair and a natural spot of blonde that only grows in the very front, not to mention my eyes are the color of a disgusting swamp. And to top it all off my chest is as flat as a board, thank god I at least have somewhat of a butt.

Anyway me and Sarah became friends after she was dropped by her "friends" because they found out about her dating the queen bitch's ex.

I found her in the bathroom crying in the corner. At the time I didn't really know her.The only thing I did know about her was that she was smart enough to be in my math class.

Now I'm not really good at comforting people and or talking to people I don't know, but she was waling so loud that I couldn't just ignore her. I ended up walking over and just sitting down next to her, and that was that, she took care of the rest and when I say that, she mulled me and got snot all over my favorite jacket. We have been friends ever since, and that was second semester freshman year.

" Hey Sarah, what's up?"

"Don't just casually say hey, it's your birthday act like it for Christ sake!"

Did I mention she is beyond spastic.

" I don't know what your talking about."

I keep my face as still as possible just to mess with her and it worked, but not for very long before I can't stand it and start bursting out laughing. I don't know how she does it but she can always put me in a good mood and take away all my stress.

"So what are we going to do to celebrate"

" I have a feeling you already have something planned so why don't you just tell me what we will do."

A huge smile comes across her face.

"Well, your right, tonight we are-"

Before she can tell me the minute bell rings and we have to get to our classes.

"Tell me later, I'm sure it's a great idea."

With that I rush to my Spanish class and she to her physics class.
