"It's absolutely breathtaking, Alessandro Castro ! I-I'm envious of it!" I squealed over the newly decorated room. It was the new VIP room of his new club Lottie's that seemed to be made for me. I still couldn't believe he named it after me!
Crystal Chandeliers that were giant seemed to leave the room glowing in their soft light. All the chairs and couches were deep red's and purples with gold styled throw pillows. Everything screamed glamour and I loved it. "I love it!" I declared as I threw myself in his arms and kissed his cheek. It left a red lipstick mark on his jaw line making me chuckle. "Here, let my get that." I giggled as I was about to wiped it away. "That's okay Lottie. You're going to be late for your audition if you stay around very longer." He said in his slight Italian accent as he ran his hand through his thick jet black hair that wasn't slicked back in oil like it is at night. Personally I preferred when it was slightly wild and free. It took all my will power not just to run my fingers through it.
"Uh yeah, I better go. How lucky am I the theater is only 5 blocks away! We're still on for dinner tonight, right?" I asked as I nearly was out the door. Hearing him call out yeah, I looked once in the mirror. My dark brown hair curled toward my face and two pieces on top of my head to look like a heart still looked good. My fair skin against red lips and light blue eyes framed with thick lashes I thought I was ready.
God, I hope I'm ready. I need this, I thought as my dress twirled around my legs. I was never one to dress too modest. Modest enough, just not house wife modest. I never really understood the rules for women, but hey maybe that's why I broke most of them.
The theater lights were dim when you first walked in, but it was breath taking. Red soft plushy looking seats that seemed to go forever and up. "Charlotte Blooms?" Called out a booming voice. "Here!" I rushed to the stage. "Right on time. We want you reading with our male lead Johnny Stats up there. The scene, you and Johnny's character's character Charlie are madly in love yet fighting it. We need to see chemistry."
I nodded and grabbed the script handed to me. Taking a breath I took in Johnny. He was hot stuff with his blonde hair and blue eyes topped off with a perfect smile. Slim but with muscles and just the right height. Just not exactly my type.
"Begin."
"Charlie, can you tell me what in the world you are doing here?" I asked exasperated. The images of the stage slowly fell away to my heart being toyed with.
"I couldn't help it Molly. I just found myself here and thinking about you. Thinking about us!" He stepped in closer taking my hands in his. "You made it pretty clear that there was no us." Turning away fast. The emotions of the scene coursed through my veins.
"To me there is nothing but us! But what life can you have with me. You have the opportunity to go places with him. He can provide for you in a way I can't.""You think I give a damn about that! I think you just don't know what you want. Cause I know that I want. Us! Do you Charlie?" We were almost touching now, in front of each other both breathing a little harder then normal.
He pulled me closer as our noses touchedand stated right before our lips touched, "I will always want us."
"Scene."He let me go with my head spinning. "That was steamy, doll." He smiled at me. "I like her James. I'm gonna go out side for a smoke." Johnny walked off stage. "That was fantastic Lottie. We'll give you the results some time this week." "Thank you."
My nerves seemed to twist about as I left the theater. "Hey doll face, your Alessandro's girl right?" Johnny asked, puffing out some smoke. My heart lept being called Alessandro's girl but I know it wasn't ever going to actually be the truth. "He's just a really good friend of mine." I said, maybe a little flustered.
