Normani's Pov
"Normani!" yelled my agent. She was incredibly impatient and most of the time very annoying. The only reason I still had her as my agent was because she could get me really good gigs and catwalk shows. I mumbled something smart under my breath.

"Okay I'm almost ready," I said with a slight attitude.

"Okay the show starts in two hours and you need to get to hair and makeup, fast." she said walking out of my dressing room. I grabbed my outfit my stylist had picked out for me and started to put it on but someone came to help me.

After I was done with that I headed to hair and makeup, I scrolled through Twitter while they did their job.

Lauren's pov
"Are you nervous?" my mom asked from the other side of the screen.

I nodded and looked down. "Yeah mami I am, but I wish you and everyone were here right now," I said sadly.

"No mija don't be so down you'll see us soon just do great like I know you are,"

"Thanks mami," I smiled at her. "Lauren 10 minutes till show time," my manager Steph yelled. "Look mom I gotta go we'll FaceTime tomorrow,"

"Okay sweetie I love you,"

"I love you too," I said and the call ended.

I was getting ready to sing for this fashion show, I was really excited because...... models. But at the same time I was kind of nervous that I would do something wrong, but I tried shaking those thoughts out of my head completely.

Okay it's showtime.

I stood backstage waiting for the host of the fashion show to call me and Drake out to perform my new single "Work."

Drake and I go way back all the way back to when I was just a rookie in this industry. He saw that I had talent and took me under his wing, and ever since then he's made me successful by helping me with tracks. Drake was like a big brother I never had.

"Lo you ready they should be calling you out there soon," he said.

"Yeah I think I am, these girls are hot though," I said looking at some model that walked past me.

He just chuckled and shook his head. "You're a mess,"

"And now please welcome Lauren Jauregui and Drake singing her new single, Work!" the host said running off the stage.

All of the models walked onto the stage, but one caught my eye. She had on this really tight dress that showed off her ass really good.

"Okay Lauren it's time," Drizzy said walking out on stage with me.

The crowd cheered for us both. Halfway through the performance while Drake sang his verse I got distracted by that girl again. She looked at me and winked. When it was my turn to sing again I sang to that girl that I couldn't get my mind off of, though she looked very familiar. She smirked at me and turned around to walk back off stage with the other girls. I smiled and turned to face the crowd and sing as they sang along.

After the show I was told to meet my manager in my dressing room and that's where I was headed until I bumped into someone while looking at my phone.

"Oh my God I'm so sorry," I looked up to see that same girl, but now she looked more even better up close. "Hey Normani Kordei right?" I reach my hand out for her to shake which she did.

"Look Normani you looked great out there," I said making her blush. "You did amazing Lauren," she said with a smile. "Wait you know my name?" I asked surprised. "How could I not I've always been a big fan, plus the host did say your name," she said.

"Well thank yo-" I was cut off by my manager Steph.

"Lauren we got to go, say goodbye to your little friend," she said.

"Look I've really got to get going but wanna exchange numbers?" I asked. "Yeah sure," she handed me her phone and I did the same.

"Bye Lauren," she said pulling me in a surprise hug. I smiled and hugged her back.

"Bye Normani," I said pulling back with a smile and walked away with Steph.

"Lauren make sure you get enough rest you know you have an interview tomorrow morning," Steph said through the phone.

"Yeah yeah I'm going to sleep now Steph," I said.

I hung up the phone and plugged my charger in phone and put it on the nightstand, I then fell asleep peacefully.
