Smoke was not supposed to of died that morning. He had a full life ahead of him , only being 20 seasons old. I remember, Every moonrise, He would cradle My brother and Me between his massive Tanned forelegs. He would Tell us stories. The most vivid memory I have, however, is that how right before we fell asleep, he would tell us how we meant the world to him, and that he would die For us. As much as I loved and believed him, I never assumed he would have to prove it.
