The Forest Of Lost Memories

The peaceful mountain clan has lately been short on food and have asked their allies if they could scavenge for a few of their prey. They were permitted to kindly but only allowed four of their cats to go scavenge, only till the sun came down before the moon was fully visible. The mountain clan leader sent two pair mates on the scavenge. The Leader of the hunting trip of territory was Kira, a high ranking warrior and the second in command was Tsunami Her mate. They chose Shade and Aztec to tag along with them. Early at dawn they spotted Shade teasing wolfs that passed close to the mountain clan territory.

Aztec hissed at Shade "Stop messing with those hounds they're not worth our time, we have a hunting trip and Kira will have our skins if we don't get to them know!" Shade rolled his eyes and said one more thing to the pack passing by "I hope you all enjoy your pups because they will be my feast!" he chuckled and trotted to Tsunami and kira with Aztec. On the way Aztec purred at Shade " What you said to that pack was kind of cruel even for you" Shade got confused for a minute then just looked forward and kept trotting toward where they said they would meet up at the entrance from there way. They finally arrived Aztec catching her breath and Shade fine from the trot. Tsunami growled silently seeing Shade for they have not gotten along and has lost to Shade in the spars they had.

Tsunami smirked and hissed "look what the med cat threw out" he chuckled with a daring smirk. Shade snarled:] "Says the one who is weaker than his mate and gets beat in a spar when you should be able to" he glared at Tsunami with his glowing white optics aggressively. Tsunami stopped laughing then growled "Oh we will see who is the top male later Shade" he said in a threatening way. Kira purred "Can you two stop fighting for once? we have to get enough prey for all seventeen of the cats including us if not -" she got interrupted by Aztec "It's better if we split into two and just go with our own mates so there is no trouble". Shade and Tsunami agreed on the plan, after a matter of moments Shade and Aztec disappeared into the branches and shrubbery.

Kira and Tsunami went on there way close by the river. Kira easily glided through the water to the other side of the river while Tsunami had trouble getting a few steps in the water. Tsunami hissed in frustration "How come this is so simple for you and it's incredibly difficult for me!". "Because you only talk trying to scare people saying that your tough when in reality you can barely last with Aztec in a spar" Kira responded in a teasing purr giggling . Tsunami didn't speak after that and kept going. They finally got there half of the prey caught and started back carrying what they could then going back for the rest. Tsunami kept on thinking about asking Kira a questioned he has wanted to ask for a while. He had built the determination to ask the question because he had always felt shy about asking. When they had finished getting the prey to the meeting point the walked around close to the point and Tsunami nudged Kira to stop and she stood waiting to know what was going on.

Tsunami purred shyly "umm.. Kira i wanted to ask you something for a while" he paused to see what she would say. "Yes what is it?" she asked curiously, he collected his determination and asked with a nervous tone "Shade told me that you and him talked about how you wanted a kit.." he said and paused for a bit a little nervous. "And I have been recently been wanting a kit and its almost spring.. which means mating time.." he said nervously. Then he finally asked in a confident purr: "Would you want to have my kits this spring season" he asked. She responded with joy "Of course! I've been waiting for you to ask for what feels like forever!". She hugged him and nudged his nose and purred "Remember we can't until its spring season mating time so you will have to wait" she said teasing. Tsunami smiled joyful of what happened. they licked each other on the nose and padded back to the meet point was and saw Shade and Aztec waiting. "where have you two been!?" "we saw your prey and have been waiting and brought ours by the time you all showed up!" Shade and Aztec hissed still questioning. "We were talking because we say you two weren't here yet".

They nodded a little aggravated and Kira purred "We should start bringing the prey back we are only a few yards from our territory and cats are waiting to help with the prey". "Ok just please tell me Willow is not one of them" Tsunami and Shade said in symphony. Kira blinked then shrugged then made them start taking the prey to the territory where Kitsune, Ivy, Lunar, and Blue where. Shade and Tsunami argued after getting on territory and sparred. Shade won as always and was sent with Kira, Blue and Rocky to thank the clan of faded memories for their kindness to let them get enough prey till next moon. Kira and Tsunami talked in the night then went to sleep with the other warriors. While Aztec and Shade sat away from the clans dens and watched the sky get covered with stars.
