The River of Revenge

Shade and Aztec talked all night about how war was coming soon and to prepare together. "Lets get some extra prey from the river bank not to far from here". Shade nodded, "Better to be safe and get extra prey just in case there is a raid" he purred. As they started toward the river they heard twigs cracking and mice and foxes running away from the bushes heading toward the river. The mates ignored the sight of the animals running away from the river. Aztec felt like it was a bad idea and hissed silently "There is something wrong with the river". "Why do you think that?" he meowed confused. "Why else are the animals running away from it then?". 

Shade ignored what Aztec was thinking and trotted there with Aztec trying to catch up. by the time they got to the river after crossing a small cliff they saw a small wolf pup. Shade head straight to wolf and growled at it. "Get of mountain clan territory you furry flesh ball" he hissed as the pup ran a few feet away. A dog like figure came out from the shadows to the pup growling. At that moment Shade started to understand what Aztec ment. Shade stood up tall only to the height his ears were as high as its nose.

"What were you saying about my pup?" the mother alpha growled. there beta wolf snarled at shade fiercely. "Telling your fur covered piece of flesh to get off our territory" he hissed fearlessly. They Chuckled then started snarling again "do you really want to get into trouble with a wolf pack?". Shade circled the beta the wolf was slightly bigger than shade. "I will spar your beta wolf if you wouldn't mind" he smirked as he saw the beta shiver slightly then noticing the beta was mocking him. Aztec got in front of Shade "you can't take on a wolf! last time one of our cats did all that was left were bones and its teeth!". 

Aztec was about to turn around but got bit then thrown at a tree behind Shade. "No need for your little girlfriend to get in the way of a spar!" the beta chuckled and also circled as Shade did. "Your gonna get it know!" Shade snarled angered and lounged to the wolf's back and started biting into his flesh tearing mouth fulls out. The wolf flip over smashing Shade he let go and laid on his belly yowling in pain. The wolf put his paw close to Shades optic close enough to deflate it. Shade started kicking which did nothing to the wolf. he struggled to not have his eye deflated which would kill him. He claws the wolf's eye and its covers it's eye with his paw and Shade quickly gets up.

Shade Leaped for its head but his hind leg was in the jaws of a wolf. His leg was getting punctured with jaws as sharp as shards of glass. He yowled in pain and was slowly losing consciousness. "And know we will eat your clans kits!" the wolves chuckled to the tease that was made towards them earlier. Shade started trying to pull himself towards Aztec. The wolves let go then the female alpha pounced on him biting and scratching his back. Shade yowled in pain as Aztec watched her mate get attacked senselessly. Aztec climbed a tree from spotting the beta trying to grab her . After the female alpha stopped biting and scratching Shade she picked him up. Then slammed him on the ground to hear one more yowl in pain from him.

The pack laughed in a vile way at Shade after his attackers beat him senseless. They padded away chuckling while Aztec watched shade from a branch over him in horror. Shade tried to get up then collapsed from the pain. Aztec got down and nudged Shade purring "I will get you to camp i promise!". As Aztec carried Shade to camp on her back the cats stared in horror seeing shade in worse shape then usually after a spar. Willow tended to him "he seems to be unconscious" she said worried. "What did he do this time?". "He sparred a wolf" she purred tears dropping. Kira, Tsunami, Lunar,Kitsune,Ivy and Mizu stared at Shade as he sat almost lifelessly only clinging on still breathing. "He wont wake up till midnight if he is lucky if not he won't wake till dawn" they all watched as Shade didn't move at all know this was severe.
