Zoeya froze, her heart beating at an unknown pace. He... He loves me... What? This was all she'd ever dreamed of. She wanted to say something but she kept stuttering, still in shock. "Don't worry, I didn't think you'd feel the same way..." Lalna whispered, a slight hint of disappointment in his voice. "No, Lalna, it's not like that! I.. I love you too.." She declared, smiling as if she had no troubles. They stood and looked each other in the eyes. She loves me! Lalna was suprised, shocked, but most of all truly amazed. "Since when..?" He queried, almost giggling in disbelief. "Since the day I met you!" She replied, grinning crazily. "M-Me too!" He exclaimed. This was more than they both had ever hoped for. Wihtout words, they embraced happily. Life just got a whole lot better for the both of them.

"So does this make us a couple now?" Zoeya asked, finally breaking away.

"I-I guess so!" Lalna laughed. "Come on, it's getting late!" He grabbed her hand and walked back to the castle. "Errr, Zoeya, I don't know how to break this to you, but I kinda converted your old bedroom into a place to keep a lot of books and stuff, and the guest rooms aren't the greatest, I couldn't let you stay there. So that means, we kinda have to share a bed..." Lalna explained, gritting his teeth incase she retaliated. However, she just chirped "That's fine!" and jumped into the bed, seemingly cold. It was a double bed, with dark blue sheets and white pillows. Withing 5 minutes, both were alseep and lightly snoring.

Zoeya awoke, startled by a loud noise. Lalna was gone. She jumped out of bed and bolted down the stairs. She burst through an open door, only to be met by a scene of crisis. Two shadows, on the ground, fighting. I knew it was too good to be true. As they fought, Zoeya heard Lalna say something. It went along the lines of "You won't make it out of here with her, not this time!" This seemed to anger Rythian, and he started charging up a magical attack. Zoeya knew exactly what it was. She knew exactly what she had to do.

She stepped in between Lalna and Rythian, facing the Mage.

And with a cry, she fell.
