The ministry ball was in full swing, and Hermione was enjoying it wonderfully with her date Blaise they were dancing when she heard a glass smash she turned to see Draco Malfoy looking as sexy as ever fixing a glass which had been broke, Hermione never really wanted to go with Blaise as she had fallen hard for the one and only Draco Malfoy yet in school they hated each other but working in the same department changes things he was dateless and also had a horrid glare set right on poor Blaise she was only dancing with him.
"God me Draco just tell her"
" I can't Harry"
"Look how happy she looks"
"You know she likes you right?"
"No I didn't why didn't you tell me earlier Harry" Draco stated getting a little mad that his friend kept this from his, in result of his anger he smashed his own glass with his hand , he whipped his wand out and cleaned the mess up whilst glaring at his other best friend who was dancing with the girl he loves
"Malfoy, stop that didn't you tell her you wasn't ready for a relationship? , let her live her life"
"I do not and will not watch her leave with zabini potter!" He snarled as he was reminded of the mistake he made a few weeks back he and Hermione had kissed in the office and him being a idiot said he wasn't ready when he was he just had to try the old playboy tricks once more and now look what had happened
"I only came to protect what's mine" he whispered whilst blushing
"But does she even know that she's yours?" Ron sniggered as he was finding this quite sad yet amusing
"Shut the bloody hell up weasely"
"Why don't you show her how much you care before you lose her"
"Fine I will and I'll prove you both wrong" he put his glass on the table and made he way up to the podium at the front of the room. As all heads turned towards him he spoke
"May I have your attention please, hi I'm Draco Malfoy and well I've made a mistake, a massive one at that, while I was at hogwarts there was this girl and I was nothing more then horrid to her, I even made her teeth grow so I could keep calling her beaver as she turned into a great beauty yet to me she always has been and she still is, I now work with this women and she has bewitched me with not only her beauty but with her kind and loving nature and her witty comments, I will admit to you all I turned her down when I had kissed her a few weeks back and that is one of the biggest mistakes I have made, tonight she's been dancing with my best friend one who I know did this to spike me and to make me realise my mistake thank you Blaise but I do need to say a few other things" Draco grabbed the mic and started making his way towards a shocked Hermione "I was wrong, and I'm sorry there is nothing more in this world that I want of how much I want you Hermione you bring the best out of me and I don't want to lose you please fill the hole you left please be mine?" Draco now asked standing in front of him all eyes focused on them, she sighed and looked him in the eyes whilst placing a hand on his cheek
"Don't you think it's about time" she chuckled and leaned in towards him and he taking his lips in hers
"Yes, Draco" she stated as everyone broke out in applause he captured her lips once more savouring every moment in it.
