"Wanna know how I got these scars?"- The Joker
Chapter Two: Battle Scars
"Wake up beautiful!" Frankie whispered into my ear. My eyes fluttered open and I let out a small yawn. I smiled when I saw Frankie next to me, the memories of last night came flooding back.
"Morning handsome!" I replied.
Frankie jumped out of bed and scooped my nearly naked self up out of the bed and put me down next to him. Patting my bum he said, "Go have a shower! If you're too long, I might have to join you!" He winked
I ran into the bathroom and jumped into the shower.
The cold water cascaded down my body, washing any dirt away.
When I was finished, I grabbed the nearest towel and wrapped it round my self. Entering the bedroom, I put on Frankie's shirt from last night, not bothering to put my underwear on again.
I opened the bedroom door and made my way down the club stairs. The club was empty, apart from Frankie behind the bar drinking some orange juice with suitcases next to them... MY SUITCASES.
I walked over to him, my eyebrows raised. "Do you mind explaining why you are stealing orange juice and why you have my stuff?"
Frankie put his glass of orange juice down and started to explain "One: I was thirsty. Two: This is my club- I own it. My dad gave it to me. Three: I found your key to your hotel room in your clutch and decided to get your stuff considering you'll be moving in with me. I also took your dress from the bedroom and packed it. Good job I left my shirt in there. You look hot in it."
I blushed, fiddling with the end of the shirt.
"No underwear Dora? You're a bit brave!" Frankie winked.
"What do you mean I'm moving in with you?"
"Well it gets a bit lonely in my 5 bedroom house. I mean Harry and Tracy are all lovey doves with each other so I'm pretty much alone!"
"Harry and Tracy got together?" I grinned. They were two of my old best friends. Frankie and I also thought they should be together.
"You remember them then?" Frankie teased
"Yes. I remember everything. Things turned worse when Dad died. Mother got worse. She started cutting my wrists so I would feel pain every time I did something wrong. Apparently, that was everyday. Now I will always look horrible with these scars. I missed you so much Frankie. Every day I thought if you."
Tears streamed down my face.
Frankie's face turned into a shadow of concern. He moved closer to me, holding my arms gently. He kissed every scar on my arms and then kissed my lips. "You are beautiful Dora. Don't let anyone else say otherwise. I tried finding you Dora. I cried for hours when you had to leave. I had almost lost hope until I saw you drinking at my club. I was so scared that you wouldn't recognise me. That you would hate me for not being able to say goodbye. Last night, I realised how much I loved you, how much I wanted to take care of you. I wanted you to forget all the bad things. Because I love you Dora. I always have."
He hugged me, letting me sob into his shoulder. "I love you too Frankie."
