As we walked through the curtain of the hut my jaw dropped. There, on the thrown was one of the most majestic looking RainWings (not that I've seen a lot). She looked at us intently, not that sleepy look that most RainWings have.

"ECHO-STAR!" The Queen roared as she flared her neck frills. She rampaged off her throne and got in Echo's face, and I almost half expected Echo to slap the Queen.

"I'm sorry your majesty, I went to get my friend... Erm... Lily here" Echo looked at me for a second before bowing to her queen.

"Locket" I growled angrily as she got my name wrong. I would've tackled her there if it weren't for Queen Glory standing there.

I froze in my spot as Queen Glory looked at me and slowly made her way toward me. I immediately kept my tail tucked safely then having it loosely around like usual.

Queen Glory stopped in front of me and looked at me for a couple minutes and I gulped. "Your planning to stay Li- Locket?" The Queen had obviously caught my name when I was growling.

"Yes your majesty," I bowed as low as I could get, so low my belly touched the ground. Queen Thorn liked respect like this, so hopefully this would help me from not being executed.

"Please get up you two, it's not a bowing contest" Queen Glory shook her head at us as I quickly looked over at Echo and saw she was copying my bow. I sneered at her and she sneered back.

"Maybe I should send Emerald with you..." The Queen looked between the two of us with worry as I just realized what I did in the queens presence. Awe Camel spit!

"No! Not him!" Echo pleaded as the Queen just shook her head at her before yelling out the dragon's name.

Soon a emerald green dragon flew in with an emerald necklace around his neck. He seemed nervous, but didn't show it with his color changing scales. It seemed as if they were almost permanently that way.

He cleared his throat, "Yes your majesty?" His tail swung in agitation as I looked between him, The Queen and Echo-Star.

"Emerald can you escort Locket to Echo-star's hut in the NightWing village while I have chat with Echo-Star?" The Queen asked as the emerald dragon slowly made his way toward me.

"Of coarse your majesty," Emerald stood beside me and he looked at my barbed tail before gulping a little.

"Follow me," the dragon quickly walked through the curtain and I yelped as I scrambled to follow the Emerald dragon.

The sky had begun to set as the RainWing and I walked down a winding path. Emerald didn't speak to me and I didn't speak to him as we walked along. I was beginning to feel as if something was wrong... I wanted to blend in with my surroundings but of coarse I couldn't in this tropical forest.

We kept walking, but that was when a blur of black knocked out Emerald. He crumpled to the ground and didn't move after that.

"Who are you!" I snarled as I bared my teeth and frost began to flow out as I flung my barbed tail to my side ready to attack.

The black blur came forward and sprayed him with my frost breath as he let out a scream of pain as he fell back clawing at his face, but that's when I let my guard down.

One grabbed my tail careful not to touch the barbed tail. When I turned to frost breath him another grabbed my snout and held it shut. I struggled aimlessly as my frantic eyes searched for a chance to escape. My wings beat against the air trying to escape the grasp of my attackers.

Another one tackled my side causing me to fall to my side. My head slammed against the ground and I let out a groan of pain. My eyes had black dots in them as I looked at the dragon who held my snout. That's when light flashed and I saw the cruel smile of a NightWing.

It took me a minute to realize the burning pain by my stomach as I let out a muffled scream. My eyes blurred with tears, but I would not let them fall, I would not show them weakness.

"You hybrids shouldn't exist," A voice growled quietly as talons dug into my side. "Especially not in my rainforest" he dug his talons deeper and I blacked out in pain.

When I came back to, it took me a moment to remember where I was. I tried to sit up, but a voice growled at me.

"Don't move," I slowly looked over to see a figure with a tattered navy cloak over his head. His orangish black horns stuck out from under his hood, but other then that he was pretty much blending into the night.

I looked at him cautiously before allowing him to tend to my wounds. Had this dragon saved me? Who was he?

*sorry for the wait!*
