I slowly opened my eyes, careful of my surroundings, and had quickly realized that I wasn't on the stone table that I was on before...It's quite...I sat up still drowsy from last night's previous events.

...It's cold...looking down at my arms I saw scars and old blood staining my forearms, it seemed weird, but also kind of normal...I'm used to this...I thought as I swing my legs over the edge of the bed feeling the cold hard floor on the palms of my feet...

Looking around I already felt uncomfortable...clean wooden floors...walls as white as snow..five other beds to the left of me, neatly made and extra folded sheets at the end  of the bed..."Tch, Fancy.." I thought out loud clearly annoyed. If they wanted me to have a nice time staying here, then they certainly topped the cake....Bringing my hand to my face I rubbed my head feeling a sharp pain soon after "Ow...what the hell hap-.." A loud noise of a door being slammed open interrupted me mid sentence. "Oh my, you're finally awake!" said a feminine voice. I directed my attention to the door  and saw a small petite girl like myself holding a glass of water...She looks so young..."I'm s-sorry for the wait Miss I was getting you some water...I thought you might have been thirsty s-so-" I quickly interrupted her "It's quite alright..thank you."

She sighed in relief before walking over and placing the glass of water on the nightstand to the right of the bed, and turned in my direction.

"I tended to your wounds, you were pretty scratched up...do you feel any better Miss?"

I looked back down at my bloodstained arms and looked closer to see tiny stitches littered across my arm. "Yeah, I feel a lot better thank you...but you could have at least cleaned my arms" I said with a content sigh.

She covered her face obviously ashamed. "Oh, s-sorry about that...I was so caught up in patching you up I forgot to realize that you were still covered in blood..I'm sorry please forgive me!"

My eyes slightly widened at her sudden outburst "N-no it's okay I promise...I was just thinking out loud..you did nothing wrong" I said trying to ease her tension.

Looking around the room once more I finally ask. "Hey...how did I get here...and what happened to me?"

She looked at me with a sorrowful gaze. "You mean you don't remember anything?" I nodded faintly.

"W-well...you were found in a alley by a man unconscious and all cut up, so he brought you here...and I patched you up immediately..It was mystery how you made it...after all, you did lose a lot of blood..maybe 3 1/2 pints.."

I looked back at her questionably and shocked. "A man?"

"A tall slender man in a black tail coat brought you here.." She replied turning her attention out the window she continued. "He was accompanied by a small boy, they were on a business trip and they found you in the alley, but I never did catch the man's name.."

Thinking for a moment I looked out the window as well, It was raining....."I don't remember anything before I woke up...It hurts to think about it..."

She nods slightly before she paces to the door, smiling. "I'm going to help with the other patients if you need anything let me know."

I watch her go, but before she passes the door frame I ask her "Do you know what the young boy's name was?"

Coming to a stop she looks back and puts her hand to her chin thinking. "Actually he did say his name, I recall it was Alois Trancy..."
