Complicated

Elena Woodhouse inhaled the scent of the fire, the smoke was something that soothed her nustrils and her insides. She sat a stump on the side of a small dirt path. The odd woman laid down on her back on the grass and was more preoccupied by the three slivers of the white moons in the sky. Perhaps the three moon had more of yellowish white glow than anything else. When all three moons were full it was one bright night, of course still dark and not as- not that the moons mattered. She looked at the fire again and her thoughts were on her failure. She was so sure and almost killed him. He was not a he at all but a girl or woman. How old was she? There she laid by the fire her body slanted and her feet near Elena's stump. Her eyes glimmered and the redhead noticed that they were dark blue and her ear-length hair was dirty blonde. The redhead was a few inches taller than the blonde, only by a few inches though.

"I can understand if you stared at my face because I had cheese on it but your eyes definitely focus on my face." Starry said to Elena.

"Humph." Elena said to Starry. Her gaze fell upon the tight forest, the pine trees and the wood that were very close to the dirt path they camped by. The three slivers of moons in the sky were no longer Starry's focus. Starry sat up and held the top of her body up with her palms.

"Do you dislike chatter?" Starry asked Elena.

"Why?" Elena asked Starry. She felt distrust on the inside when Starry asked this question, on the outside however her tone was calm and unemotional. On the other perhaps the tone pretended to be easy.

"You cannot dislike cheese though, the food has such variety and you cannot dislike cheese." Starry said to Elena. This caused Elena's long orange eyebrows to rise in her helmet. Her sword was still on her back and she was still in all her heavy metal armour.

"You jump from being nosy to a subject that seems to becoming expected with you." Elena said to Starry.

She mentioned cheese at random times of the day since they had met that afternoon. Now it was night time and she had to spend two or three more days with this strange girl or woman. She was unsure of her age, she looked perhaps in her very late teens or maybe even very early twenties.

"Nosy? Are you so touchy about me pondering if you dislike chatter?" Starry asked her. She seemed almost amused about something.

"No." Elena said to Starry. The thing Elena did not like were the questions. She did not seem to take the cold, reversed hints that Elena gave Starry earilier that day about how she was unresponsible to conversation starters and questions.

"What did you ask about earilier? Why? Why what? Why do I keep on about-?" Starry asked Elena.

"Why do you want to talk so suddenly?"

"There is so much I do not know about you. For some example why you want to kill this boy you are after so much."

"My master ordered me to kill and so I kill." Elena said to Starry. When the blonde got up onto her feet, took large steps towards her, bent down sideways in the opposite direction of the fire and her face hovered over Elena's helmet.

"Is that so?" Starry asked Elena.

"That is so."

"I do not think it is. Obviously you have other reasons for wanting to kill this target. I still do not think you need all that armour on."

"Oh? I think my body needs protection from weapons."

"Yes but it is so- bulky and it draws so much attention. If you stood out in a crowd or near a bush filled with bandits, it would be similar to a bright blond boy in a orange suit saying 'attack me!' Your get up seems to say that."
