i groaned and walked up the stair well, i knocked on apartment 27 and waited for someone to answer, a tall blonde boy opened the door,

"hi. im marie and im your new roommate" i smiled

"im luke, you need a job because i cant pay the rent by myself and dont eat my food and don't bother me when i have a girl over got it?" he said blantly and opened the door some more, i nodded and rubbed my palms on my jeans, i handed him my first month pay and followed him to the empty room, "this is your room, knock yourself out." he said and walked into his room shutting the door behind him.

once i was done bringing most of my furniture into the small room it was about 7:30, i walked into the living room and saw three boys on the couch, one looked asian, one had really curly hair and the other one had bright red hair,

"hi!! you must be lukes new roommate im michael." michael smiled

"im calum." the asian looking one said and looked back at his phone,

"and in ashton" ashton smiled and stood up, he wrapped his arms around me, i chuckled and awkwardly hugged back, i wasnt really a hugging type of person. the attention landed on the front door, luke walked in with a blonde girl that was showing extremely too much cleavage. he ignored us and led the girl to his room, i rolled my eyes and sat next to michael,

"dont mind luke he can be a dick at first but once you get to know him hes really cool." i nodded "calum is really quiet so you wont have to worry about him, and ashton is like the father..he's probably the most mature one out of the four of us" he chuckled, i chuckled with him, i pulled my phone out of my back pocket and saw that my mom texted me,

hey sweetie, i just wanted to let you know that i love you very much and good luck at uni next week!

i chuckled to myself and locked my phone and put it back in my pocket, one of the reasons I moved to cali is for the university im going too, uni starts on october 28 and its the 17.

"do you guys go to uni?" i say trying to make conversation,

"yes me, cal, and luke do, ashton works at kfc" michael chuckled,

"its a good job man!" ashton laughed, calum kept quiet and stared at his phone, loud moaning came from lukes bedroom,

"i think im gonna go back to the apartment..." calum whispered and looked at his feet,

"okay we will be there soon" michael smiled at calum, calum stood up and walked out of the apartment.

"im gonna go and get some food, it was nice meeting you guys" i smiled and stood up,

"you too." michael and ashton said at the same time laughing, i walked to my bedroom and slipped on my vans and grabbed my keys, i walked over to the elevator and saw calum waiting for it to open,

"hey" he smiled lightly and stepped inside i followed him,

"hi" i chuckled and pushed the 1st floor button, i walked out the elevator and walked into the parking lot finding my car, i unlocked my car and got in, i started the engine and drove to mcdonalds. i ordered my food and drove back to the apartments.
