Prologue
Anna's POV
*warning: pretty violent, spattered with curse words*Have you ever thought about dying?
Like, really thought about it.
I really haven't. It seemed to be far, far away- so why worry?
My friends and I used to joke-
"I won't die until I'm fifty!" Dani boasted, ruffling her short, dip-dyed hair absent-mindedly.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah right. We all know you have the weakest heart."
Dani gasped, picking up a stuffed animal from her floor and chucking it at me.
I ducked, chuckling warmly. "Shut up! Fanfictions have too many feels, okay?!"
I made a face. "Oh, I'm Dani. I like Destiel and Phan-"
"Shut up!" Dani growled, grabbing another stuffed animal. "Ah!" I cried, rolling over on the pink carpet on her floor to avoid being hit.
Her room was an absolute mess. Stuffed animals cluttered the floor, bed, and closet, along with random personal items.
Rose came out of the bathroom. "I'm back! What did I miss?"
"Dani's boasting about how long she's gonna live again!" I whined, dragging a pillow over to me to cover my ears.
"Oh, please. We all know I'm gonna live the longest. I actually exercise!" Rose decided to show us this by doing a push-up on the ground- and falling down. Her pink hair hid her face, but I knew she was blushing.
"Well, I try to, at least," she mumbled into the carpet.
Dani and I were laughing hysterically while Rose was shooting us glares.
I brushed some blonde hair out of my eye when I was done laughing.
"But your 'exercising' doesn't matter, because I'm going to live the longest," I said, smirking.
I never wanted it to be true.
Y'know, it felt strange being back here now. The pink carpet was stained red, and the white walls were no longer so white.
Dani was hung up on the wall by rusty- probably bloody too- nails. Her insides weren't so much on the inside anymore. I remember coming in here, a few minutes ago. Dani was already dead, and that was the only good thing about it.
But Rose was still being gutted. I had ran forward and jumped on the killer. They had turned to me, completely black eyes meeting mine.
I saw something in those eyes that I would never forget. A kind of remorseless look to them, and an unbelievably large amount of anger.
