Janae P.O.V

        "Ima talk to you tomorrow I have a job interview." I told Yaya

       "Ok good luck babes."

    With that being said I walked to foot locker for my job interview.

    "You start tomorrow at 3:00 p.m don't be late what size shirt do you wear?" My new manger Ed said.

"Small and thanks for the job I won't be late."

     "I hope not."

By the time I left footlocker it was hella dark bus I have to walk home to the hood. As I was walking this black BMW passer me then stopped and started backing up. Scared wasn't even the word to describe how I felt. I just kept telling myself fight abs run if they try to mess with me. Once the car got by me the driver rolled down the window and it was Kain in the car. I just kept walking.

" sup ma where you going at this time of night."

"I'm going home."

"You wanna ride?"

"No thanks I don't take rides from strangers."

He pulled his car in front of me and got out.

"Are you crazy you could have hit me!"

"I wasn't gon hit you now get in the car." He said as he held the door open for me.

"No."

"You know you could get killed walking at this time of night or kidnapped? So you gon he in the or what?"

I stood there thinking do I want this ride. My feet are hurting from all this walking so I just got in the car.

"I live in the Jets."

"Ok ma."

After 10 minutes of small talk we pulled up to where I live.

"Thanks for the ride."

"No problem can I have a hug?"

"Sure since you gave me a ride."
I gave him a hug and he kissed my neck. After a minute I pulled away and was getting out of the car.

"Aye ma can I have yo number?"

"I don't have a phone." I said looking down embarrassed. Like what teen do you know without a phone?

"It's ok baby don't worry about it." He hugged me and this time kissed me on the lips. I don't know what came over me but I kissed back and felt those sparks again. Breaking the kiss off I got out the car and rushed in the house.

"What you doing with Kain?" Brittany asked.

"Why?"

"I just asked you know he a druglord!" I didn't even respond I just went to my room and got ready for bed.

Two weeks had past since I started my job and seen Kain. In these past two weeks I got my first check and put some of the money in the bank and the rest went on clothes and shoes that was much needed. When I got home with the clothes my aunt and Brittany had a lot of questions and when my aunt found out I had a job she tried to make me quit. Then Brittany tried to steal my clothes so I had to buy a lock for my door. As for Kain I been two busy working to see him but Brittany said she seen him in the Jets a few time. I can honestly say I'm starting to like him but I won't let him know.

Anyways we got a week off from school because it rained and flooded the school, so I picked up on more time at work that's where I'm at now.

"Nae can you put these shoes out then help the customers?" Raven a girl I work with asked

"Yea I can do it."
