The week went exhaustingly slow for Rosey. Especially after she told Emma who then started a countdown to Friday.
"TODAYS THE DAAAAY SEVEN CLASSES TO GO"
Emma yelled as she bound down the hallways towards me gathering a few stares from other students on the way. Rosey rolled her eyes.
"I don't even think our plans are still on.. he hasn't text me all week..."
Rosey shrugged
"Oh pleasee your plans are definitely on don't second guess him because you didn't take the initiative to text him"
"Who says I didn't?"
Emma gave her the look.
"Okay.. you're right.. BUT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO"
"And neither does he, remember that."
But he should
Rosey answered back in her mind visibly pouting.
"Anyways if he doesn't pull through with his plans or it doesn't go as expected shoot me a text I'll be free all day."
She played with my hair extensions
"You don't have practice today?"
Rosey tilted her head in question
"Nope! No volleyball for today. Now, I have to go talk to a teacher about this grade mix up. See ya in English!"
Emma sprinted off. Rosey watched as her bestie turned the corner before pulling out her phone.
I should text him shouldn't I?
Pulling up his messages Rosey smiled as she reread her previous conversation with Kevin and then felt bad for not taking the lead here.
Hey, are we still on today orrrrrr
The school bell rang and she hit send. Rosey bit her lip and headed to class.

Her second class of the day had just finished when she remember she sent a text. She spent the entire walk to third period looking at her phone waiting for a reply and bumping into people on the way. She had given up once she got into class and took a seat in the back. A second later her phone buzzed and she eagerly grabbed it.
Emma:
I'm gonna be a little late to class! Helping a teacher in the main office. Be there shortly see you soonRosey blinked at her phone and put it away. Showing no visible sign of emotion.
Guess not?
Thirty minutes into class Emma showed up with a colored slip for the teacher. She walked to the desk next to me, sat down, and turned to me.
"What are we doing?"
She took her eyes off the book she was reading and looked at her.
"Ummmm just the average silent reading."
Rosey picked up the book and tilted it to Emmas direction
"UGGGGH"
she whisper yelled and placed her book out of her bag and onto the table. She adjusted her pink sweater so it actually sat in the middle of her and began flipping to her page. Rosey turned her attention back to her book and they both read for five minutes.
"Hey rosey"
Emmas voice sang
"Yeah?"
"Did he reply?"
