Chapter 1

Don't you ever wish that you had a second chance is life? I did, but unfortunately that only exists in movies and this isn't a movie, it's reality.

I was laying on my bed, my alarm just stopped beeping. I wouldn't get up, I couldn't. My black eye from yesterday was hurting and was way to noticeable to go back to school. I could hear my mum walking towards my room.

"Come on Asher, get up"

She said while opening the curtains. She turned around and looked at my eye.

"And you did that by walking into a pole?"

She said looking suspicious. I nodded, even if that wasn't true. I got it by a guy called Seb yesterday at school because I wouldn't give him my homework that were due that day. I didn't tell my mum a little bit because I did not want her to worry about me but mostly because I did not want her to know that I had no friends and that I was pushed around everyday and that my hair were always wet not because I took a shower after sport but because Seb and his friends were putting my head in the toilets.

"Mum, I can't go to school. I am not feeling very well"

She took my temperature.

"You are perfectly fine."

She said looking at me.

"If this is about the black eye, I could put some make up on it. No one will be able to see it"

"No, I am fine" 

I said while getting out of my bed.

"If you say so. Now get dressed and get in the car, you are already late"

As I walked into school, I tried to avoid Seb but of course he was waiting for me right in front of my locker. I walked towards him.

"Look who showed up to school."

He said really loudly, everyone around us heard and formed a circle around us.

"I hope you at least brought my homework this time."

I didn't answer.

"Or do you want another black eye?"

He kicked me so hard that I fell on the ground. My arm was hurting so much that it felt like it was broken. He was about to kick me but a girl that I had never seen before stepped in front of me and stopped him. I could barely see her face as my eyes closed.
