Hold me tight
Jungkook walked on the streets that feels like a stranger yet familiar to him. His feet keeps on moving forward without him controlling it. He only stopped when he reached a cafe that looks familiar. The bell rang as he opened the door. He looked around searching for something, someone, but he has no idea what he was looking for actually. It's like his body is acting on its own.
His eyes stopped searching when his gaze landed on a certain oranged-hair guy sitting at the corner. The oranged-hair guys turned around and their eyes met.
The latter stood up and walked towards Jungkook. He looks so familiar yet a stranger to Jungkook.
"J-Jimin...hyung?"
The name is so familiar in to his lips it's like his mouth was made to say the name again over and over for the other to hear and listen to.
The oranged-hair guy stopped infront of him and showed him the most innocent and angelic smile he had seen in his whole life. He felt everything disappear and there's only the two of them left and the sound of his heartbeat.
"Jimin...hyung..." Jungkook called out once again.
The guy infront of him hummed in response. Jimin reached out and pulled Jungkook to the table he was sitting at before.
"Take a seat." He said and so Jungkook did.
A waiter came to them after a few minutes and served them an espresso and a mocha frappe. Jungkook smiled seeing the two familiar drinks in front of him. He reached out for the espresso and drank it. Jimin looked at him wide-eyed as if seeing Jungkook drink espresso is something to be surprised of. Jungkook noticed the older's gaze at him and chuckled.
"I learned how to drink espresso while you were away." He explained, answering the question on Jimin's mind.
Jimin recovered from the small shock and his lips cracked into a sweet smile. He took the frappe and took a sip from the straw.
"Do you remember now?"
Jimin asked without looking at Jungkook. Jungkook's eyes fell down on the table.
Can he remember?
He didn't forget in the first place.
The cafe.
The espresso.
The frappe.
Jimin.
Park Jimin.
His Jimin.
All of them are familiar. All of them, he remembers. All of them is a stranger that Jungkook has a memory of.
"Am I...dreaming? It's been 2 years and for you to show up here all of a sudden..." Jungkook couldn't bear to finish his sentence. It's not because he really cannot but he dared not to.
He worked so hard to bury that memory underneath his skin and he doesn't want to bring that up again.
But how can he avoid that now if a big part of that memory is sitting right infront of him and having drinks with him at the moment?
"Oh tomorrow is my death anniversary right? So it has been 2 years already. Time flies so fast I didn't notice." Jimin sounds so casual saying those words. It's like he's just commenting about something trivial.
But it was different for Jungkook. Those light words from Jimin was too heavy for him to handle. The wall that he tried so hard to build was completely broken down. The tears that he thought has already dried up started falling again one by one, betraying his mind's order not to cry. Jimin got up from his seat to wipe away those tears.
