There she was again.

Always out of my reach, walking away from me, toward the darkness. I want to save her, to keep her. I wanted her. Though, who am I kidding, she has a boyfriend, and I'm the kid who always sits in the corner of the classroom, sulking in his own thoughts.

Of course, this would all change in a matter of fifteen days.

"Jesse, get up, you're gonna be late for school!", my mom yells up at me. "Jesus, mom, hold on a second", I say, getting up out of bed, shaking off the dream I was having about Rhiannon. I instantly bolted downstairs, eager to get breakfast. As I eat, I can't help but keep having vivid memories of Rhiannon in my dream, with her breasts pressed against my chest, and her lips brushing over my own.

My dream memory is instantly interrupted though, as my brother comes crashing down the stairs, slamming into me.

"Dude, that's my seat", he says plainly, obviously tired from waking up at six A.M. in the morning just so that he can catch the bus to middle school. "Chill out, it's just a seat", I mutter, as my little brother slowly makes his way to the seat adjacent to mine, and munches on his cereal quietly. "Besides, you don't have to deal with me for at least seven hours today, so there's that", I say to him plainly, but he just keeps on eating his cereal.

As I drove to school in my small Mini Cooper, I couldn't help but think about how school would be like today. Who I would see, which friends would want a fight with someone else, and how Rhiannon would look..

Stupid. I instantly slapped myself in the head for thinking that. Never in a million years would Rhiannon Wilkin want to be with me in a relationship.

Right?
