So when writing you may have given your work a title, but some people don't like to title work until they finish it. When choosing a title, something short will always do well. It means people will remember the title (although there are many examples out there of books with long titles that have dome extremely well). The title is used to reflect the book, but not sum it up completely.
The blurb/description of your book is the real big task you have as a writer because if you mess up this very crucial stage the chances of people wanting to read your book is slim. A blurb is there to entice the reader in, it is not there to confuse the reader or tell the reader the whole plot.
A perfect blurb has the right amount of factual information about the book (so characters, the general plot etc) and mystery. Having an aura of secrecy about your book will always make people want to read on!
