Chapter 4: Intense Rivalry

Aphmau continues to stand there awaiting Garroth and Laurance's explanation. Garroth hasn't actually though of a decent explanation, so he just stands there trying to think of one. Everyone stares at him expectantly which doesn't help.

"Uh, their like me!" Travlyn says. "The brunette is like half you half Laurance and the other one is half you half Garroth. Yeah."

"Yeah!" Garroth agrees.

"Yeah!" Laurance also agrees. "Anyway, get off of Aphmau, you two!"

Garmau and Laurmau lets go of Aphmau.

"You two ought to be ashamed of yourselves!" Garroth says in a disappointed-dad tone. "Aphmau didn't even know what was going on, you probably scared her half to death! You could've hurt her!"

"H-hurt her?" Garmau asks, voice shaking. "We didn't m-mean to..."

"It doesn't matter what you meant to do! You don't just... just do that!" Laurance adds, in a angry-and-disappointed-dad tone.

Laurmau notices Garmau shaking and realizes what she's going to do. She tries to hide a grin.

"W-We're sorry!" Garmau bursts out into tears. "I didn't mean to hurt Mummy I j-just..."

Laurmau joins her. "We're so so s-sorry! We just wanted Mom to love us!"

"Well if you're sorry..." Garroth says, clearly not expecting them to be so... sensitive.

Garmau nods furiously. "Mmm hmm. Also Laurmau's fake crying I saw her smirk."

"H-HEY!"

Travlyn snickers.

"Whatever, the point is we're both sorry okay? Geez!"

"It's fine. I forgive you. I think. I'm not sure what's going on." Aphmau says.

Thankfully, Aphmau does figure out what's going on. They soon inform everyone else about Laurmau and Garmau, and of course, nobody still has any idea where the heck they came from. Kawaii~Chan has a theory though.

"It's like all of the ships are coming to life!" she exclaims.

"But how?" Aphmau asks.

"Kawaii~Chan isn't sure. Maybe it's from the collected power of all of the shipping shrines! But if that were the case, why wouldn't Aaronmau come to life?"

"Aaronmau?" Garmau and Laurmau say at the same time, both looking like they just saw something gross, like roadkill or something.

"Yeah, Aaronmau. Aaron and Aphmau. Their actually dating now, so Kawaii~Chan's OTP has to become a reality! Eeeeee!"

Garmau and Laurmau continue to make that same face.

Soon enough, with a little help from Travis and Katelyn (who are practically pros at enrolling kids at school by now like omi) Garmau and Laurmau are starting their first day of high school. And what would you know, they're in the same homeroom as Travlyn.

"Attention everyone we have two new students here. This is Garmau Ro'Maeve and Laurmau Zvahl. So uh, don't bully them. Bullying isn't nice." the homeroom teacher said.

"We're not related, by the way." Garmau says for no reason.

"Okay? Why would you be?" the teacher asks. "You have different last names."

Garmau looks down in shame.

"Idiot." Laurmau mutters.

"I HEARD THAT."

Thankfully, Garmau and Laurmau have a few classes apart in which they focus on classes instead of bickering and competing with one another. However, gym class is next, and they both head into the girls' change room. While they change, they argue.
