In celebration, of two hundred followers and over thirty stories with our tag, we have decided that it's time for our very first contest!
C O N T E S T
Write a poem or short story about a girl, or about being one. It can be from your point of view, third person point of view, or your character's point of view.
Your point of view : You can write about why you like being a woman, or why you don't. Your poem/short story can be about the struggles, or the positive things that you've gone through.
Your character's point of view/Third person point of view : Make up a character. Write about the struggles that she goes through, and how she overcomes them. The main character doesn't even have to be a girl! Your poem/short story can be about a boy observing the life of his mom, his sister, or his best friend. Heck, even his girlfriend!
R U L E S
1. To enter your short story/poem, add the tag #LAG2k16. It can be a new story, or an existing one. If you've passed the tags limit and can no longer add tags to your story, put it in the title or summary.
2. Your short story can be any genre (Teen Fiction, Fanfiction, Chicklit, Humor), as long as it is twelve chapters or less.
But, if you have a full length story that you would really like to enter, tell us which chapters focus on empowerment. You can let us know by PM, or by dedicating those specific chapters to us. That way, we won't have to read a full length story.
3. Your poem can be no more than 5,000 words.
4. All entries must be in English.
5. Contest entries will begin on Monday, April 18th and end on Friday, June 17th.
