A/N (220621):

Editing this was an experience lmao. I wrote this fic when I was 19 years old, and I know  this isn't my best work, but I want to give my younger self a bit of credit SJDHJSHDKJHJKS She worked hard because she had no SK fanfic to read anywhere and just made her own 🤣

If you're rereading this, then welcome back! This might give off a "new" vibe, but all I really did was change the POV and change a few lines here and there. The plot will not change, but I just would mostly "improve" this fic as I go.

If you're new, then HELLO SKHDSJKHDKJHSKHDKS this was written SIX years ago, so please be kind. I'm just doing what I could to make it less cringe AHHAHAHAHAA

I hope you enjoy!

"One set to go and we'll win this. Focus, okay? Hwang Sinb, we trust you," the coach said and she nodded. Soon, the whistle blew, signaling that the time out was over.

A volleyball match between Busan Arts School, which was the school Hwang Sinb played for, and Busan High School was never easy. They were like mortal enemies when it came to volleyball and losing was just not in both schools' vocabulary.

Sinb looked at the scoreboard, determined. They already won two ets, but Busan High School was six points ahead of them for the current set.

Busan High School served the ball and the battle was on.

Sinb kept reminding herself that she had to do well. This was going to be her last game for Busan Arts School and she wanted to leave a good impression, a legacy, if you would.

The game was tough. They struggled to get out of the six-point lead made by Busan High School.

"MINE!" Sinb called as she aimed for a spike which was, unfortunately, blocked by the other team.

"Damn it," Sinb heard one of her teammates mutter under her breath as she dived and tried to save the ball.

"Nice revival from Kim Hayoung of Busan Arts School there, everybody," the announcer said. "Free ball from Busan Arts School... A spike from Park Nayeon of Busan High and BAM! Nice block, Hwang SinB and Choi Haemi of Busan Arts!"

Sinb glanced at the scoreboard once again. The game went on and they had finally caught up, and was now the one leading the game.

"MINE!" Busan Arts School's team captain said, and too bad Busan High School made an error in receiving the ball, making Busan Arts School lead by five points.

"Match point! We can do this!" the team captain said, and the game ended with Busan Arts School winning the set, and the game.

"Nice game, girls," the coach, Mr. Nam, said as the players settled in the locker rooms. "And I believe our spiker, Hwang Sinb, has something to say?" he said with a sad smile.

The team captain also looked at Sinb with the same expression, making the rest of the team start to fuss.

"Ya! What is happening?!" Hayoung asked and Sinb cleared her throat.

"Guys, I'm leaving the team," Sinb said with a sigh, not beating around the bush.

"What?! Are you injured? Is it that bad that you have to leave?" Haemi incredulously asked.

"No, no!" Sinb denied as she shook her head, hands flailing in front of her.. "It's just that my family's transferring to Seoul. My appa got promoted and was moved to the main office," she explained with a sad smile. "I'll visit when I have time! We practically live together, how could I forget about you, guys?" she added, reminiscing about all the all-nighters and training they did together.
