Defiance

We said our goodbyes(me and Tamora) and went our separate ways to our separate homes.

My home wasn't truly as grand as the school but it still was appealing to the eye. It was modern and gave off a warm feeling.
I knocked on the door, and entered.  As though it knew I was coming the lights switched on,automatically letting everyone in the house know that someone's here.

"I'm home!" I shouted as I stepped into the hallway. A braid swung out into the hallway to meet me before a my little sister did. Ti'ahh tore down the hallway and crushed me in a hug.
"MARA!!!"she screamed hugging me even tighter. "Hi...Tiger...could you..maybe release me before I die!" I breathed, barely able to catch some air into my lungs.
"Oops heh heh." She said releasing her death grip on me. I waited for air to refilled my lungs before I spoke. "Unbelievable how your hugs literally take the air out of me!"  "I know!" She beamed. I kissed her forehead and she disappeared down the hallway.

She is weird. I thought

"Hello my little big one. How was school?" My mother said coming from down the hallway. I smiled,"Hi momma."
My mom was, and actually is a house wife. Even though she seems more fit for an occupation that isn't so,delicate. Sometimes I've imagined ways she could have gained this position but always end up coming up short.

I remember asking her sometime in the past why she thinks that they choose her for that role and she would get a distant look in her eyes, smile and say," It's just fate playing with me sweetie."

"School was great mom," I said "I would like the truth." She said placing a hand on her hip and raised her eyebrow. She can always tell whenever I'm telling a lie even sometimes it's before I say it. It can sometimes be a nuisance that I may never be able to but I quickly overlook it as it was beneficial to the Society that I remain truthful.
"Also, I've gotten into a minor confrontation with a male during lunch." I looked down to the floor and pretended to care about how it looked.
I noticed that the wooden floor had a polished look on it. I wonder if momma recently finished polishing it? Finally I heard mom give an exasperated sigh."You've never made it easy. Why can't you just keep quiet like everyone else at your school."

My head snapped back up. "Maybe it's because I feel that it was truly unfair how he treated me." She gripped the bridge of her nose and shook her head, obviously peeved but I could care less. "Please make it easy for me for a second."
"You repeated for twice-"
"I'm aware of that!"

I shut my mouth.
I really need to stain that. I thought disappointedly. 

Apart from being in the society you also have a record book of everybody and everything. Every action I've made since birth has been documented, recorded, and saved. It's not a very refined one but, it still one that I am proud of.

"Listen.  Control your outburst. You are a young lady to be.  You aren't entitled to give such opinions like that,so do NOT challenge me or anyone of future authority any more."
I  balled my fists at my sides,turned,and walked away from my mother until I reached my room door.
I waved my hand and walked in when the door opened wide enough for me to walk in. I sat on my bed. Ivory in color, that calmed me as I sat down.
"Control your outburst. You are a young lady to be.  You aren't entitled to give such opinions like that,so do NOT challenge me or anyone of future authority any more." I mocked out loud.

"Your door is not disguising your voice well!!" She shouted through the door.
HUFF!! I slammed my feet on the floor, turn towards the wall and waved my hand into the air and watched as a floor length mirror folded out into view. I then laid down on my bed.
The weight of today's events beginning to overwhelming me.
