It was everything I could do to not cry as you walked away with my heart. If you only knew that you still had it and could give it back. You tried at first but I refused because I knew you were making a mistake. You still have it and now everyday you are squeezing it tighter and tighter till I can't breathe. Then you make it worse by trying to act like it never happened and that I was some crazy person on the side of the road. I remember the tender moments of us and feel like I have to fall to my knees begging for them to come back but I know they won't. Just like I know you never cared in the first place. All you ever wanted was me to be like the person you say has your heart.
