Arranged Marriage (Kouha X Reader)

~The Festival

Standing in front of Mindy's room you noticed Cy started to relax from his anxious state as you gently knocked on the door. 'Here goes.'

"Come in." You heard your sister and then proceeded to slowly open the heavy door, stepping in with Cy following close behind you.

"Hey (Y/N), how've you been?" She greeted while brushing her hair aside.

"It's certainly been something..." You chuckled out smiling back at her.

"I'm sure you already know this, but this is my fiancé." Mindy stated eyeing the prince who returned the gaze.

You had stayed at the Kou Empire for a week and yet Cy, who had just arrived a day ago, was already getting married.

You felt lucky your wedding date was not yet decided and from the looks of it, not near. Your sister on the other hand, was informed of the wedding only one day before his arrival.

"Congratulations, I met him earlier." You told her stepping forward a bit.

"Anyway, for tonight's festivities I want you too dress nicely... And after we're done here you wont see me or Cy until the ceremony, I already have a good outfit picked out for you I think you'll like. Finnigan will be accompanying you, so you can spend your time having fun..." You took in her mouth full and nodded slowly. "Cy I want you to stay here with me because we have some matters to discuss." Mindy said motioning you out as she stood up.

"I'll see you later then-

"One more thing (Y/N)... After you have gathered the last of your things I wont be needing you anymore, so return to the Kou Empire." She added as you walked out the door.

"So apparently most Kingdoms want me except my own?" You mumbled to yourself as you headed down the corridor to your room.

Your sister was always like this, she got to business right aways making it hard to have a conversation with her, but it did make her a good teacher when she showed you magic. 'So I guess they are kind of like each other.' You thought as you passed the dining hall.

The festival would begin in two hours, so when you reached your almost empty room you immediately put on the clothes she wanted you to wear. 'At least it looks good on me.'

The door was knocked softly as it opened.

"Princess (Y/N), your dinner." Shelly stated while putting a tray of food on the remaining table of your room. "Is there anything else you need?"

"No it's okay." You responded as you took your seat near the table.

After eating the meal you went to look for Finnigan so you could head out a little earlier with him.

Upon opening the front door you where met face to face with pink eyes and hair. You froze recognizing those features... 'Kouha?'

"Hey (Y/N)..." Kouha greeted licking his lips.

"W-What are you doing here?" You stammered thinking you had escaped.

"I was aloud to pause my duties and come be with you... Did you really think I would leave my (Y/N) to be alone with other men?" He responded sweeping you off your feet caging you in his arms as he carried you out in to the town.

<Finnigan POV>

Finnigan rushed out the door to meet (Y/N) thinking he was late.

"Was Princess (Y/N) here earlier?" He questioned one of the guards standing outside the door.

"She was here, but then she was carried off by Prince Kouha who came here on a short notice..." The guard responded.

"Prince... Kouha?" 'I've seen the way he looks at her.' He told himself as he stormed off in to the town. Finnigan searched every alley, shop, and restaurant looking for the (H/C)-haired female but to no avail, everyone was preparing for the festival.

CLANK!

Finnigan heard a clash of metal.

Jerking his head to the direction of the noise he saw dark black flames coming from an alley ahead. 'There she is.'

The blonde quickly made his way over to it and once nearing it he began to hear shouting.

"This time there wont be anyone to stop us!" Kouha cackled shouting.

"Stop this." Finnigan recognized your voice as he turned in to the alley to see what was happening. He saw you facing Kouha with one of Djinns drawn covered in black flames and then looked over at Kouha who also had blade drawn at you.

"You're mine (Y/N), I can't have you talking to other men giving you ideas in that head of yours... And I still have to give you your punishment from earlier." Kouha then grasped his metal vessel tighter and swung it around but you quickly blocked it with your own jumping back.

"HEY!!!" Shouted Finnigan as he ran up to both of you.

<Your POV>

You whirled around to see Finnigan running up too you and slowly put your sword down.

"Now then... Let's get rid of you now shall we?" You heard Kouha whisper across from you. Then unexpectedly Kouha shoved you in to the wall leaving a dent stunning you as he laughed psychotically. He then proceeded to swing his blade down at Finnigan who had no time to react as you watched.

Time seemed to stand still as Kouha swiftly sliced Finnigan in half , it was too late...

"WHY DIDN'T I STOP IT?" You sobbed trembling feeling the tears roll down your cheeks unable to take your eyes off of Finnigan's dead body. Kouha walked up too you and picked your limp body up carrying you to the center of town where the festival was beginning.

Kouha sat you down next to him and you just sat there lifeless as drinks and food where served to the other guests up in the stands.

"Now then, enjoy the festival (Y/N)!" Kouha said patting your head.

You weren't moved when your sister and Cy said their 'I do's' and kissed as streamers and fireworks lit up the sky, instead you just sat there dead inside still trying to get over what had happened as the night went on. Then you found yourself lying on your bed with Kouha's arms around you with his head pressed against your back. Flashbacks of your childhood with Finnigan filled your head from him first becoming your household member to the moment he confessed his love for you and finally... The moment of his death. The fear in his icy blue eyes glued inside your mind as it kept replaying.

"Why?" You said weakly as you cried yourself asleep to next to Kouha.
