Arranged Marriage (Kouha X Reader)

~The First Day~

'I never thought it was going to be me...'

You sat with your legs crossed resting your chin on your hand in the carriage, it was no secret that you were to be married off politically to the Kou Empire. 

Your father didn't give it a second thought when he agreed to the arrangement. 

You were the 2nd princess of the rich and powerful Godia Kingdom. Having captured two dungeons and being able to use limited types of magic, you were also seen as a huge military and battle asset. Your two Djinns where on two dual wield swords and your best sub magic was gravity, mostly because you were a bit lazy.

"Princess (Y/N)..." You looked up to see a familiar face... Finnigan, he had blonde hair, bright blue eyes and a strong build. Finnigan had been your personal knight assigned to you since you were little, he also was the only guard needed to accompany you on your journey to the Kou Empire. Finnigan was about a year and a half older than you and had taken a liking to you ever since.

"i'm listening..." You said closing your eyes and motioning for him to begin.

"We will be arriving to the Kou Empire in one hour"The blonde stated. 

Not wanting to give him a verbal response, you simply nodded. 

The four day ride had been a long one and being angry didn't help at all. You were normally happy and giddy person, but you hated the idea of an arranged marriage. 

Although you also knew that it was going to happen eventually, as it being one of your duty's as a royal.

"Excuse me, Princess (Y/N) are y-"

"I told you to cut that dumb 'Princess' of my name." You bluntly snapped at him, cutting him off. Finnigan looked at you in surprise before looking to the side nervously.

"I'm sorry Finn, I just hate the idea of being a Princess right now..." You added looking away from him.

"It's alright (Y/N), I just wanted to ask if you were doing alright, I mean, you haven't been yourself lately... I'm sure once you look at the city you might cheer up! And i'm pretty sure you'll do fine..." Finnigan paused to give you a warm smile. "You're beautiful you know." You lightly blushed at his comment suddenly feeling a little better.

'Beautiful... Huh?'

Looking out the window of your carriage you could finally see the vast Kou Empire.

"There it is!" You blurted out excitedly as your (E/C) eyes widened growing eager to explore the huge city.

Once there you jumped off the carriage stretching your legs as Finnigan followed behind you.

"Princess (Y/N), i'll proceed to drop-off your belongings at the palace." Commented the driver as Kou soldiers followed behind him.

"Alright." You said waving the driver good-bye.

"Shouldn't you head to the palace first (Y/N)?" Questioned Finnigan giving you a quizzical look. "You should let Ren family know you're here so don't they assume you're missing."

"I informed the driver earlier to tell the guards I'm here so I can enjoy myself in the city for a bit." You replied putting his concern to a rest. 

The Kou Empire insisted that you stay with them once arriving and they looked forward towards seeing your skills, so there was no leaving now.

You walked through the city looking through countless stores and restaurants amazed that the fierce Kou Empire could have such a bustling and nice city.

"Wow, this place is huge! I know I was salty before, but seeing this made me feel a bit better and helped me take my mind off a certain thing..." You said smiling back at Finnigan. The chuckled and rubbed the back of his head delighted to see that you were back to your regular self again.
