“I really should be getting home.” Stevie said. She was a little bit tipsy, and Lindsey thought it was adorable. Stevie shivered. “Cold?” Lindsey asked. Stevie nodded, rubbing her arms. “It’ll be that beer. Come sit by the fire with me.” Lindsey said, pulling her to her feet. They walked to the fireside. “Mmm.” Lindsey noticed there wasn’t much room. He quickly pushed some furniture away, making a big space in the middle of his living room, in front of the fireplace. They sat down together, side by side. “How is it that I always end up in you house in front of a fireplace?” Stevie asked, warming her hands. Lindsey chuckled. “Are you referring to the last time we made love?” He asked, warming his own hands. “That wasn’t making love, honey. That was sex. If it was making anything, it was making war, not love.” Stevie corrected him. Lindsey sighed. “Yea… But it was pretty good, right?” He asked, a twinkle in his eyes, remembering their night together in the rain room. Stevie smiled at him. “You have always been my best, Linds.” Lindsey swelled with pride; why it made him so happy to hear Stevie say that, he had no idea. He edged closer to her, now on a mission he had never intended to go on. He moved her long hair out of the way and planted a small kiss on the bare skin of her exposed shoulder. Stevie stayed perfectly still, watching Lindsey from the corner of her eye. Lindsey began to kiss her neck, making her shudder. As he made his way up and along her jawline, Stevie bit her lip, trying to suppress the sounds that were desperate to rip out of her. “Don’t fight it, Stevie. What happened to us rebuilding our relationship?” Lindsey whispered. He kissed her passionately on the lips, taking her by surprise. She held him back. “What makes you think I want to be with you in that way now?” Stevie asked. “You would have told me to drive you home.” Lindsey said matter-of-factly. Stevie thought about it; it’s true, she would have asked him to drive her home if she hadn’t, deep down, wanted to go home with him. But, at the same time, she did want to sleep with him, for one very good reason. “I don’t want to sleep with you, Lindsey.” Lindsey’s face dropped. “Why?” “It’s not you! Oh my God, Lindsey! Please don’t look at me like that! It’s not you. It’s me.” Stevie said quickly, desperate not to hurt Lindsey’s feelings. “What’s wrong with you?” Lindsey asked. Stevie looked down, her hair hiding her face, as she mumbled her answer. “What?” Lindsey asked, straining to hear. Stevie mumbled her answer again, a little louder but still not clear enough. “What?” Lindsey asked again. “I’M FUCKING FAT, LINDSEY! OKAY?” Stevie shouted in Lindsey’s face. He stared at her, tears now streaming down her cheeks. “I’m a fucking fatty! And I don’t want you to see that! Especially since the last time we had sex, was still thin and gorgeous.” She yelled, trying to get up, desperate to be away from him. But Lindsey pulled her back down and held her close, stroking her hair as she cried. After a while, he lowered his head so he could whisper in ear. “Stevie, do you really think I’m so shallow that I would care if you’ve gained a little weight?” He asked. “I don’t think you’re shallow. But I know you’re a guy. And you’ve seen me as a skinny twig. So I know you’ll care if I’m a log now.” Lindsey chuckled. “Did I ever really tell you why I fell in love with you?” Lindsey asked, stroking her hair. He felt her shake her head. “I always thought you were beautiful, but everyone I knew thought that. Of course I was physically attracted to you but that isn’t why I fell in love with you. I fell in love with the person you are; you’re kind, you’re sweet, you’re generous, you’re thoughtful… You’re the best human being I know.” Stevie looked up at Lindsey, wiping her cheeks to get rid of the makeup that had run. Lindsey smiled. “I don’t give a flying fuck if you’ve put a little weight on. I think you’re beautiful at any size. You could be a size 30 and you’d still be gorgeous.” Stevie giggling. “I’m not a size 30…” She muttered, sitting back. She wiped her cheek again to make sure the makeup was totally gone. “Do I look okay?” Stevie asked, flattening her hair down. Lindy leant forward and kissed her lightly on her lips. “You look perfect.” He replied. Stevie smiled and stood up. Lindsey stood up too. Stevie took a deep breath. “Are you gonna show me you’re bedroom?” She asked nervously. Lindsey smiled. “I have a better idea. Wait here.” He rushed out of the room. Stevie chuckled at his boyish excitement.
Stevie walked into the kitchen, heading straight to the fridge. Looking inside, she found what she was looking for: beer. She quickly opened a bottle and down the entire thing in 2 gulps. Heading back into the living room, she found Lindsey spreading out blankets, placing fancy pillows here and there and lighting candles. “Linds… What’re you doing?” Stevie asked, standing behind the couch. He rushed over to her, grabbed her by the hands and led her round to the fireside. “I thought this was more our style.” Lindsey said, gesturing to the makeshift blanket bed he had just put together. Stevie raised an eyebrow. “Our style?” She asked, walking onto the blankets. “Well, yea. The first time we slept together, it was on a mattress. The last time we slept together, it was on the floor of the rain room. And we did this kind of thing plenty of times before when we were together.” Stevie smiled, looking at the patterned pillows and soft blankets. “I remember. It was also cold in our little apartment. But I always felt warm with you there.” She said. Lindsey stood behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. She leant back against him, and he kissed her hair. “Stevie, you never need to hide from me. In anyway.” Lindsey said quietly. She turned around to face him. “You really don’t care? About my… weight?” Stevie asked, putting her hands on her stomach. Lindsey shook his head. Stevie let out a long breath. She turned away from him, moving her hair out of the way. “Will you please undo my zip?” She asked. Lindsey stepped forwards pulled the zip down, revealing the clasp of Stevie’s black lace bra. Lindsey chuckled. “You still wear black lace bras?” He asked as Stevie turned back to face him, holding her dress up with her hands. “Why change something that still turns you on?” Stevie smirked. Lindsey chuckled. “Okay. Turn around and don’t turn back until I tell you.” Stevie instructed him. “Oo. I like it when you take charge.” Lindsey said, wiggling his eyebrows up and down. Stevie rolled her eyes and twirled her right index finger, motioning for him to turn away. When he had turned away, Stevie quickly slipped out of her dress. Laying it to the side, she pulled the biggest blanket over her and slipped out of her underwear, throwing them over to where her dress was. She cleared her throat and Lindsey turned around. His eyes widened. “That was fast. You must be eager.” He observed. “Okay; now you stand up and turn around so I can strip off and get under that blanket.” He said, pointing to the blanket covering Stevie. She rolled her eyes. “Nice try, Buck. I’ll cover my eyes.” Stevie adjusted the blanket and covered her eyes. She could hear the eager rustling of Lindsey removing his own clothes. After a few seconds she felt him slide under the blanket beside her. Lindsey reached over and pulled her hands away from her face. “Hello beautiful.” He said, smiling at her, his eyes full of adoration. Stevie matched his smile. They leant forward together and met in a passionate embrace. As their lips moved together, Lindsey skilfully pulled the blanket from Stevie’s grasp and wrapped it over around them both. Stevie could have protested, but she was too deep into Lindsey’s kiss to even notice. They lay down together and pulled away for a breather. Stevie felt Lindsey’s hand making it’s way up her leg; she grabbed it and shot Lindsey a warning glance. “Lindsey, I’m naked under a blanket with you – Don’t. Push. Me.” Lindsey sighed. “Stevie, don’t ruin this – Ah! Don’t interrupt! – I don’t care about your weight gain. Please… Just let me hold you.” Stevie sighed and let go of Lindsey’s hand. Keeping his eyes on Stevie’s face, he carefully traced Stevie’s side, pulling her close to him. He pressed his lips to Stevie’s. Breaking away, Lindsey said, “I hope we don’t knock any of these candles over. I wouldn’t want us to burn my house down while I’m going to town on you.” Stevie laughed her dirty laugh before looking at Lindsey seriously. “Shut up and kiss me, Buckingham.” She said. Lindsey smirked and pressed his lips to hers once more.
