Chapter 3

Hospitality

(Gaga)

"Holy shit. Holy shit. Was this all my fault? Colleen, is she gonna fucking sue me or something?"

"Alright, calm the fuck down, and stop pacing. you're psyching me out."

"Psyching you out?!"

Just then, a tall, lanky nurse walked into the waiting area and asked Colleen and I to come into the room. "she wants to see you."

See me? I don't even know this chick. I thought. Oh no... this is the part where she sues me. I'm done.

"Hey," she says with a hint of sweetness in her voice. "Thanks for staying here with me." ...Okay so she's not suing yet... "My name is Tara."

"Yeah, I didn't think your name was actually Tar." She giggled and her already rosy cheeks got a little bit rosier.

"So what's your name?"

Now when you are someone who has a very... 'original' stage name, it's hard to introduce yourself without sounding like an idiot. But at the same time, introducing myself as Stefani is redundant considering not even my own mother calls me that anymore.

"Why don't you tell her?" Colleen says with a smirk. Easy for her to say, people still call her by her first name even though she's got an 'original' stage name too.

"Uhh, it's Gaga... Lady Gaga."

She gives me a weird look at first, but she takes a good look at Colleen and I and her weird look turns into a nodding smile.

At this point,  a doctor walked into the room with a clipboard in her hands and without even looking at any of us, she says, "minor concussion, get lots of rest and stay in bed. Don't return to work for 1 to 2 weeks and take some Tylenol for the pain. If you start to feel really dizzy or have trouble concentrating ir speaking, come back immediately." Then she just walked right on out of the room.

"Well she's got a pole stuck up her ass," Colleen exclaims. I hit her in the arm.

"Well we won't bother you any longer, you should rest," I said.

"She didn't mention if i was free to go or not. Shit."

"Fuck it, why don't we take you home?" I offered. I mean, damn. She's cute.

"Really? That'd be great. Thanks."

Colleen rolls her eyes and walks out before I even get a chance to help Tara up out of the bed. I look at her and I know she's capable of getting up herself, but I just want to touch her soft - looking skin. As soon as my hand touches hers, my skin starts tingling and I get goosebumps.  She turns and and smiles meekly up at me and before I know it my cheeks hot and my heart rate is ascending. I don't know what this is.
