Bestfriend

Hey there guys! Here's my 4th one shot story.. Hope you like it ;*

   "Nash! Hold on I'm tired! Can we take a break please?"

   "Elle, we took 8 breaks already. Hahaha"

  "Fine..."

The sun shined bright in my eyes as Nash and I jogged down the dirt path. We were in P.E  class and we were partnered up together for the jog in the woods..

  And Nash didn't even break a sweat.

  "Do you wanna just walk it for a while?" Nash asked. "I'm a little tired."

  "Oh, so now you're tired!" I explained with a little giggle. "but sure. Walk and talk though ha."

"Yes. Walk and talk" he laughed and we walked together..

"You know I'm your bestfriend right? Like besssssst. " I questioned nudging my elbow against his arm softly...

"No I didn't actually." Nash  winked.

  "Hey I'm being serious"

"OK OK yes I know. I've known for years. " Then he stopped himself. "and I also know that when you say that you want something. What do you want Elle?"

  "What? Psh! I don't want anything. I just want you to know that... Ugh fine. Can I have a piggy back ride? " I smiled innocently..

  "Sure, hop on." With a little grin, Nash bent down for me to jump on his back.

  "Okey, go horsey go!" I shouted as I wrapped my arms around his neck loosely.

   Fast Forward:))

It was lunch time and Nash and I sat at the table outside.. "What do you have?" He asked me.

"Uh hotdog and rice with royal soda. You?"

  "Jelly sandwich and coke."

"Switch" we said simultaneously and passed to each other our lunches.

  I took a bite out of the sandwich and watched Nash eat up the cut up hotdog slices quickly,

  "Slow down there." I laughed.

"Sorry, I'm not allowed to eat rice for a while for the basketball team. " he answered wiping his mouth.

  "Hmm. Then why are you eating it now?"

"I'm hungry!"

    Suddenly, a pair of hands knocked my lunch down  onto the ground. "Oh sorry." I looked up and found one of the boys from the upper grades standing with a smirk.

  Helplessly. I got down to pick up what was left for my lunch.

"Hey" another voice boomed. It was Nash.

" Don't you have something else better to do than pick on my bestfriend?"

"Bestfriend? Ha, I'd say your little girlfriend." The boy scoffed.

  Nash grabbed him by his shirt and balled his fist up. "Stay away and don't even bother Elle and I again. You understand."

The older boy ran off intimidated and Nash got down to help me. "Whoa, what was that?" I admired a little shocked as well.

"That was me defending you." He smiled showing his white teeth.

"Well, thank you. That means a lot to me."

  Fast forward

After school, I paced around my room thinking hard about something, well, someone actually. I have this crush on Nash but whenever I think of it in front of him, I freeze up. Everything he's done for the past years and just today. But now, I have to come out clear to him and just say it.

  Then, there was a knock on my door. "Elle, it's me." Nash's sweet voice called from the other side.

   "Come in"

He walked in scratching the neck of his neck, "so what did you need to tell me?"

  "Um.. You see.... I"

    "You what?

" I- I..."

   "Just say it quickly, that sorta helps me."

"Okay. Ihaveacrushonyou" I rushed through my words.

  "Okay. Um say it a bit slower."

  "I...I...I have a crush on you."

"You do?" Nash's eyes widened.

  I covered my face, "I knew you'd be like that. I'm sorry but I do. I've liked you for a long time but I was scared to tell you. I'm sorry."

  "No, don't be. Because I like you too Elle. For years I have.

" Oh my gosh! ..W-what do we do then?" I stammered completely lost in thought now.

   Nash held my hands, "will you be mine Elle? Please?"

     I blushed, "yes Nash."

He smiled and leaned down to kiss me passionately and softly....
