Chapter 4 - Jace

we stood in the garden of the Smiths i hear Mr Smith who i know is called Daniel call for Maddie a young girl round my age appears at the window she see's Ry and runs out.

"RHYDIAN!" she shouts and hugs him he laughs and hugs her back once they let go he introduces me.

"Maddie I'd like for you to meet Jace she's one of us" he puts his arms around me.

"nice to meet you I've heard a lot" i smiled and held out my hand she took it. Mrs Smith came out and joined us.

"do you want to come inside its getting cold out." we nodded and headed inside i was given some 'hot chocolate' which it was very nice there was a awkward silence. so i elbowed Ry to start talking he cleared his throat.

"i wanted to apologize for any trouble i caused when i arrived and for dragging Maddie into most of the stuff. I'm sorry" he looks down and i squeeze his shoulder.

"will you be staying both of you?" Mr Smith asked i decided to talk.

"Ry was saying that he would like to stay and i would like to as well mainly because we are alike. i think it might be better to explain my story seen as you know Ry's" i began to tell how i lost my parents i didn't know whether they were murdered or whatever but i was put into the care of other lone wolf bloods. about before i shifted i was the nicest girl and so naive but now i was so angry and that there was no point on being a lone free wolf anymore if it meant hurting people and living with the guilt.

all the while they listened about what my uncontrollable anger had doe and how that since Ry came and i had a friend i was less volatile. then Rhydian talked and what happened in the past two months and why he left and again said he was sorry. he also mentioned that the only good thing about becoming a wild wolf was making a friend out of one of the most dangerous wolves.

"wow that is something." Mr Smith said Mrs Smith looked at her husband and her daughter.

"Maddie why don't you take Rhydian and Jace upstairs maybe give them some towels and clothes while me and your father talk" she nodded and took us upstairs i was given a towel and shown how to switch the shower on and what all the products were for, after been given some of the towels and a spare robe i went into Maddie's room and Rhydian who was in the spare room. Maddie lent me some of her clothes and took my teenage long clothes throwing them away i brushed my hair

"are you okay Jace" i turn around and smile at her.

"great thank you loads of people say there is nothing more great than being wild but having a shower and feeling like you belong is better. you've been kind both you and your parents" she smiled.

"i was sorry to hear about your parents and it would be great if you joined our pack well there is only three of us maybe Rhydian" she plaited my hair.

"Kids" Mrs Smith shouted we all came downstairs me and Ry refreshed and looking different that when we went up. two adults stood there looking nervous which didn't help be i grabbed on to Rhydian's hand.

"Rhydian we accept you apology if you manage to stay in stony bridge you'll be welcome back as long as you try to control your wolf. Jace we saw how well you get on with Maddie and listened to what you would have to say we feel that if we let you go untrained worse thing than what happened in the camp. so with the help of some of our friends and if Maddie agrees we'd like to adopt you into the family i wish we could do the same with you Rhydian but you are welcome here anytime." Mrs Smith said i looked to Maddie.

"i would love to have a new sister" i gave a big grin.

"thank you Mr and Mrs Smith" i hug them.

"please Daniel or Emma will do or if you want mom and dad" i nodded taking my place back with Rhydian.

"i think it's time for me to face the music" Ry spoke

"do you want me to come with you. for support" i asked he shook his head and hugged me.

"i need to do this on my own I'll talk to you later" he said goodbye to the others

"well i think we should go shopping get you some clothes if you're going to be staying here Jace SMITH"
