Chapter 9 - Rhydian

i think this might be the last chapter either this or the next not sure anyway on with the chapter.xxx

 it was a Saturday and the five of us were at Bernie's all having hot chocolate. Jace took some of her drink and had a chocolate moustache we laughed at her she look confused until i pointed at my top lips she looked down and wiped it away.

"how about we go to the rope in the woods" i suggested they all agreed and finished our drinks before heading to the woods as got further in Jace shoved me giggling.

"do you guys want to have a race" Maddy asked us Tom and Shannon ruled themselves out knowing we'd be using our powers but the three of us were in

"Three,  two, one GO!" we started running, faster than a normal human. as we were getting close Jace jumped and i copied her we went flying past the rope, crashed and rolled into the leaves we rolled together and came to a stop i panted. i was on top hovering over her i don't know what or why but in that moment i leaned in and kissed her.

she kiss back but we broke apart hearing foots steps she brushed herself off climb up the hill meeting the others. she pretended as if nothing happened. as week took our turns i kept sneaking glances at her she acted as if nothing happened.

on our way back she talked to me

"why did you kiss me?" she asked

"i don't know it just happened. are things going to get awkward between us" she shook her head

"do you like as in more than a friend" i thought about it something in me obviously liked her more than a friend

"something like that i don't have a huge crush or anything but i think i like you more than a friend" we stayed in silence until she jumped on my back

"ride horsy" i laughed and ran to catch up with the others

we split up going back to each of our homes i sat in my bedroom at the Vaughn's  thinking over about the Kiss why did i kiss her? i don't know but i liked it and she kissed back so there has to be something there right. i climbed out my window and texted Jace to meet me by the rope.

i folded my arms waiting for her until i was knocked to the ground by a wolf i could tell it was Jace she turned back and laughed

"boo" she grinned we stood up and i began to talk to her.

"i.. i want to kiss you again see if anything is there last time was in a moment" she nodded i took a deep breath and kissed her as gently as i could there was something and she knew it as well so she kissed back, we broke apart again

"yep there is something but don't you think it would be better to stay friend until we're a little older. we're 15" i nodded

"i get it just friends for now if it's meant to be its meant to be if not then you're one of my best friends" we agreed and went to Bernie's.
