Like every other American high school, the Parthenay student-body had its own share of cliche cliques. Lying on the out of bounds field behind the main school building with my crew in our lunch break, it was easy to see each group: the Geeks, Jocks, Losers, Populars, etc.

'Do we have to go back to lessons' Savanna moaned stretching out onto the grass ,trying to catch as much sun as possible, while practically reading my mind.

"Dude, if any teachers catch us out here again they are gonna bust our balls, especially Marley's as she already gone and got herself a detention" Faith replied lazily, while painting her nails against Taylor's back.

"Shes right" I agreed "I cant get in anymore trouble, my mom will go ape"

"Life sucks, why is everything so boring" Savanna moaned, looking up into the sky, watching the small puffs of white cloud trail across the everlasting blue.

"Have you heard about the new boy though" Estelle said while sitting up "He's supposed to be a hottie"

"I doubt it" I reasoned "Its probably just Candice making up a load of bull again, she told me he beat up his last principal and that he moved here to escape the mafia".

"You're probably right" Estelle laughed along with everyone else "But we'll find out soon, he's in our next period"

Straightaway I felt a rush of excitement flow through me. Finally, a new face to see, a new person to talk too. Something different. I prayed this guy wasn't a complete loser or a brainless jock like the rest of the boys attending Parthenay Community.

Estelle and I made sure we arrived at our AP Biology lab just as the clock striked 1.30pm. This is how we normally arrived to our lessons, not late or early, just on time. We started to walk towards our usual lab seats at the back of class before being stopped.

"Miss Garcia" My Biology teacher, Mrs Fitzpatrick addressed. I turned around confused about what could be wrong. She continued "I would like you to refrain from sitting with Miss Rodriguez this semester, please could you move to sit over here". She gestured towards an empty lab bench at the far left of the class.

"Why ?" I asked pleadingly ,hoping that she would change her mind. Sitting by myself all semester did not sound appealing besides sitting next to Estelle was the only thing making Biology bare able.

"Well Miss Marcia, you and Mrs Rodriguez here, don't seem to have the best work ethic when placed together. Last year I was willing to be lenient due to personal issues " I winced at this "But this year I really want you to try your hardest and to apply yourself... so move yourself please"

I groaned dramatically for effect, while slouching over to the spare desk and taking the window seat. Just as I sat down there was a knock at the classroom door before an unfamiliar boy walked in. He had tan skin and brown hair styled in a quiff, he was wearing a pair of baggy jeans and a white tank with a scruffy plaid shirt hanging over the top.

"Sorry I'm late, got a bit lost" He said while smirking a little.

"Ahh Logan St Clair?" Mrs Fitzpatrick asked, after he had replied with a quick nod she started to address the class."Everyone, this our new student who has just transferred, his name is Logan St Clair"

Wow for once Candice was right, this guy was pretty hot.

At that moment everyone in the room was staring at Logan. I felt kinda sorry for him, being new in a town like this was like having two heads. You were a mystery.

"So, Mr St Clair, please take a seat over there" Mrs Fitzpatrick suddenly pointed towards me. "Right next to Miss Garcia".

What?!..

A/N: Hey guys:) Sorry for the short chapters , I just feel more comfortable writing shorter chapters and updating more frequently. So yeah, Logan has been introduced played by the gorgeous Daren Kagasoff (Ricky from the Secret Life of the American Teenager). Hope you are all enjoying the story so far:)
