Chapter 12

"I know that you used to be a part of the Assassin Squad, but I don't remember that you have the right to take me out of the group!"  ̶   Kamui blurted out.

- Gintoki then scratched his head and let out a breath.

Gin: Hey, is that how you talk to your Senpai? And by the way, Abu-sama was the one who fired you, not me.

Kamui: But you told him to do that, didn't you?

Gin: Well, kinda ̶ 

Kamui: Then, why did you do that?! I don't remember doing anything wrong with you... We don't even know each other personally!

Gin: Listen, you didn't do anything wrong, okay? I'm just concerned about you... You could live a normal life instead of being an assassin ̶

Kamui: A normal life?! You think I could still live a normal life if I'm no longer an assassin?! Who are you to tell me that?! I don't need your concern, so don't interfere! This is my life, not yours!

- Kamui then turned his back and was about to leave.

Gin: You've got a pretty sharp tongue, huh.. But.. is that what you really wanted ̶  to protect other people instead of being with your own family?

- Kamui suddenly stopped.

Kamui: *in a low voice* I don't have a family to go back to...

Gin: Then, what about your little sister?

- Kamui's eyes widened. He then quickly turned to face Gintoki.

Kamui: H-how did you know about my sister?

- Gintoki walked towards Kamui and patted his shoulder.

Gin: Let's talk some other time. It's getting late.. I'm a busy man, you know?

Kamui: Chotto ̶

- Gintoki waved his hand and continued walking.

Kamui: (Just who are you really, Shiroyasha?)

"Sorry for the wait.." ̶  Kagura went out of the bathroom wearing her pajamas.

Sougo: Hey, isn't it too early to wear your jammies?

Kagura: But it's already 6:30pm...

Sougo: Really?! I didn't notice that.. I'll just have a quick shower, then I'll prepare dinner.

Kagura: It's okay.. I can prepare our dinner.

Sougo: Oh.. So you're acting like a real housewife, huh.. *smirks*

Kagura: Huh?! *face turns red*

Sougo: Well then, please make a nice dinner, honey.. Your husband's just gonna take a bath..

- Sougo then went inside the bathroom. Kagura was still red as a tomato.

Kagura: (Did he just call me honey?! Waah!!! I should not be carried away! I have to focus on preparing dinner for my husband ̶  I mean, Sougo! I will do my best as his future wife!)

~A few minutes later...

Sougo: Hmm~ that smells nice...

Kagura: Oh, you're done alrea ̶  Kyaa!!!!

Sougo: What?

Kagura: P-put some clothes on! *covers her face with both hands*

- Sougo was just wearing a bath towel around his waist.

Sougo: Maybe later... I want to eat while the food's still hot. Besides, I'm excited to eat dinner that my wife prepared. *smiles*

Kagura: *blush* S-Sougo...

- Sougo then sat on the middle part (where the head of the family usually sits). Kagura then gave him a bowl full of rice. She then sat on the left side.

Both: Itadakimasu~

Sougo: *swallows food* Hmm.. You're getting good at this, huh.. It's really delicious..

Kagura: I'm glad you liked it. You know, I really practiced hard to learn other recipes aside from rice with raw egg on top...

Sougo: Then I guess we could get married.

Kagura: *coughs*

Sougo: Oi, are you okay?

- He handed her a glass of water in which the latter quickly drank.

Kagura: *sigh* Please don't tell jokes while we're eating!

Sougo: Well... I'm serious.

- Kagura's eyes widened.

Kagura: Nani?!!!!
