I was in a purple dress, long and flowy, with white heels and a white purse. My hair was long and wavy and my eyes stood out (with help from my eyeliner).
My friend Kaci gasped.
"You look horrible!" she gasped.
I gawped at her. She was my best friend, how could she say that?
She attached a white bow to my hair.
"You look beautiful!" she said.
I rolled my eyes.

When we arrived I saw a giant disco ball hanging down from the ceiling and music playing in the background. There was couples dancing and couples kissing and couples eating and couples laughing. Kaci edged her way to the middle of the dance floor, and she and Adam both slowly joined the dancing couples. I was left leaning on a wall. On my own.
I saw Jake, my whole life crush, whispering to a girl. I sighed. I loved Jake. He didn't love me.
I sighed again and then went over to the food table. There was pizza, fries, chicken, buns, cakes and biscuits. I filled my plate with chicken, pizza and fries and then sat down to eat.
I was surprised that the chips weren't stale, the pizza wasn't burnt and the chicken wasn't undercooked. I tucked in, and then lay back, licking my lips with relish.
Suddenly, somebody shouted.
"Help! Somebody! Please! Call 911! Anybody! Help!"
A man in a black tuxedo was kneeling down, and I immediately recognised him as Adam. Beside him was Kaci, in his arms, her face pale, eyes shut, mouth slightly bent. It was a such a deathly pose I suddenly reeled, but manage to keep myself standing.
I ran over to her, and immediately screamed.
"It's OK, everything will be okay," Adam tried to calm me but his voice was trembling. I swallowed a lump in my throat.
"Kaci, oh Kaci," I whispered, and silently started to cry.
"The ambulance should be here any minute," someone called.
Jake.
He ran over to me.
"Are you OK?"
He wrapped me in his arms. I silently cried on his shoulder, making it wet, but the mascara didn't show. He gave me a totally big hug, and I hugged him back. Then the ambulance came.
