The girl is once again in front of her mirror. There is still thirty minutes left before the train to Death City arrives. She looked at her make-up kit.

“Hmm… I’m bored of having purple eyes. Why not make it red?” She giggled at the thought and started to put on red contact lenses.  She has already finished brushing her hair. Now, she decided to put on long, whitish-blonde fake lashes in replacement of her short, brown ones. Her hair is blonde but her lashes are brown. She has always been irritated by this. But being the carefree girl, she didn’t mind this much, and instead, she just put on light pink lipstick.

When she was finished, she glanced at the wall clock, hanging high on the wall. Twenty minutes before the train arrives. Her mom called out and she walked downstairs.

Her mother is carrying one of her bags while she’s carrying the other as they walked to the train station. The formal attire of her mom still bothering her. She can’t let something happen to her mom while she’s gone.

As soon as they reached the waiting area, her mom left her to sit there, while her mom gets a ticket. The girl sat down there, with other few people. She didn’t saw nor sensed any other artisans or weapons around. It seems like she’s the only not normal person who’ll be going to Death City.

After a while of waiting, her mom arrived with a gold-colored ticket in her hand. The symbol for 1st class embossed on the ticket. The girl smiled and took it.

“Thanks, mom.”

Her mom just replied with a nod. Then, she turned to go away. But before her mother could go, she grabbed her wrist and turned her mother to her.

“Mom, I know something’s wrong. Please tell it to me…” The girl pleaded. Her mother gave her an annoyed look.

“We have talked about this before…”

“No, we haven’t yet!” The girl protested. Her mother gave her an exasperated sigh. “Non of your business, little witch.” And with that, her mom withdrew her hand back and went to a dark place nearby, covered with shadows. Then, her mom became a crow and flew away. The girl wanted to follow her mother but she hasn’t mastered the shape-shifting thing. And besides, the train to Death City has already arrived.
