A.N. Hey guys! This is my first book I've written on Wattpad. It's not perfect, and the grammar, spelling and punctuation will probably be terrible (including my vocabulary). All the characters in this book are mine and so is the story line, I do not copy other Wattpad users out of respect for their work. But all in all I am writing this book for fun and I am not expecting it to get popular, so who ever reads this thank you and I hope you enjoy my babbling! :3

I've never been the type of girl who believes in figments of the imagination. I have never believed in folk lore, myths or legends. I have never believed in the supernatural. But why would someone believe in Werewolfs, Vampires and ghosts?

It was just another ordinary day at school for me, not much happens. I am practically invisible apart from to my only friend Emma. Are school routine consists of her picking me up from my house, driving us to school and heading to our tutorial lesson early.

We are both in the same classes, so we spend ever single minute together. We normally walk to our classes together, have lunch together, study in the library, go back to class and then Emma drives me home.

I normally spend most of my time studying, Emma and I aren't typical girls who spend their time shopping, having sleepovers and discuss boys.

Not that I would hate doing those things, Emma and I were not meant to do those things. The universe has set out our lives in stone. We were destined to be the 'good girls', the nerds of Elizabeth High School.

Life is unfair when you can't fit in.

I woke up at 7:00am to the sound of my, oh so lovely, alarm clock. I literally pound the snooze button so hard, I swear I heard a crack. I drag my lazy body out of bed, this is always the hard part, and stare at myself through the mirror.

I sighed to myself, and undid the bun from my long, tatty brown hair. And started brushing through it, I then let it fall past my shoulders once all the knots were out.

I then took of my batman pyjamas and put on a neat white blouse, a black skirt with black tights and a pair of black loafers. Smart and tidy. I then moved to my desk where I kept a small bag of makeup.

I hardly ever bothered with a full face of makeup, I daren't try to look like a plastic doll. So I just get my mascara wand and apply a tiny bit of mascara to my lashes. Emma says this complements my brown eyes, I just nod because Emma has no taste in makeup to put it bluntly.

By this time it is 7:15am and I am over an hour early ready for school. School starts at 8:30am for us, so Emma and I usually arrive their around 8:15am.

Once I reach the bottom of the stairs, my dog Coco jumps out at me. "Woah!" I laugh at the brown Labrador, whilst patting her head. "Don't worry girl, I'll feed you know."

I walk into my vintage styled kitchen and grab the dog food. Coco followed me to her bowl and I poured the food. I grabbed the other bowl once she was munching away and filled it with water. I place it down besides the other one and pat her on the head.

I then go towards the cupboard and brought out a china bowl and filled it to the brim with Shredded Wheat. I then walked to the fridge to collect the milk and orange juice. I doused my cereal with milk and poured my self a glass of juice.

I take them over to the table which was situated in the middle of the room, sat down and started devouring my cereal.

It was now 7:50am and Emma should be here any minute. I was still sitting at the table in my kitchen staring at the clock. My phone started vibrating and I glanced at the screen, Emma's picture appeared and I smiled. It was from the time when our parents allowed us to actually escape studying. They agreed that this one time that we, both, were allowed to watch Taylor Swift live. The greatest moment of our lives.

I pressed the accept button on the screen, and said 'Hello' to Emma.
"Hi Cierra," she said through the phone. "I can't take you to school today, my parents have just told me that I have a dentist appointment this morning. God their so reliable." I heard the sarcasm and annoyance in her soft voice.
"Aha, that's fine Emma. I know how reliable your parents are. I'll take the bus." I replied to her.
"Thank you for understanding C, I blooming hate my parents half the time. I hope I don't make you late for school!"
"Nah, it's totally fine Em. But if I need to catch the bus I should be going now."
"Bye, love you!"
"Love you too!"
I ended the phone call.

I groaned out loud. Her parents will be the death of me someday, their the type of couple who are last minute everything. But at least Emma had parents. I wouldn't call mine parents, they're nether home. Always at work or in another country because of work, and they don't even let me drive the car. 'It's to dangerous' they say.

I grab my black hype bag and throw it over my shoulder, I then unlock the dog flap so Coco can go into the back garden and lock the front door once I'm out of it. I then sprint to the nearest bus stop and look at the time table. Darn it. The next bus is at 8:15am and the journey is twenty minutes to the bus stop nearest to the school. I'm never late to school!

***
The bus dropped me off at the bus stop, and I took out my phone and looked at the time. It was 8:35am. Shit! It would take me five minutes to reach school if I run. So I started to run, praying I would make it to school before the end of tutor.

I reached the school gates in record time, but I wasn't paying attention to where I was going because I ran straight into someone.
"Sorry!" I whimpered, this was too embarrassing, why am I having so much bad luck this morning?
"Watch where your going huh!" a masculine voice stated, and I looked up to see Ethan Parker staring back down at me.

Oh no! Why him of all people? Ethan was the bad boy of our school, he broke up with the queen bee at the end of Year 11 before we broke up for summer. No one knows why. Ethan and Brittany were the 'it' couple everybody wanted to be them. And no one knows why Ethan decided to carry on to Sixth Form. He was the type of boy where learning disagreed with him.

He broke the silence between us,
"Are you new here?"
"Em. No." I whimpered back, trying not to make eye contact with his mesmerising, hazel eyes.
"Okay then," he frowned and got out of my way. I quickly scurried past him to the entrance of the school, keeping my head down.
"Wait!" he yelled. "Your Cierra Spencer? Aren't you?"
"Ye...yes." I stuttered, stopping in my tracks and turning around to face him again.
"Your a bit late aren't you?" he smirked, brushing his hand threw his fair brown hair.
I nodded and cowardly turned back around to the entrance of the school. I heard the first bell ring signalling the end of Tutorial. Dang it.

Why is this happening to me? First Emma's parents make me late and now this jackass is making me even later! Anger was bubbling up inside me and this new found confidence started to appear.
"Awww. Is the shy nerd angry that she missed tutor?" he teased, coming up from behind me. I don't know what happened next and why I did it. But I did. My hand clenched into a fist and I used all of my strength to punch him in the cheek.
