Chapter Eight (I'd Lie)

TAYLOR'S POV

"thanks for coming" I say to the person walking into the room

"Of course I am here, I love you" The person says

"I have heard that enough, it the past two days" I say and start to laugh, Selena laughs along with me.

"you realize, there are two boys out there in the waiting room, worries sick, and literally fighting over you" she says and sits in the chair next to me.

"what?" I ask confused

"watch" Selena says and pulls out her phone and plays a video of Louis and Harry fist fighting. I pull the the phone out of Selena hands. the title reads "Is Taylor Swift tearing
apart One Direction"

"what!" I say and Selena tries to take the phone out of my hands

"don't read that" She says, but I have to read it, I never EVER google myself but I had to read this.

"What a slut!" the first comment said

"she is such a bitch!"

"she should go walk off a bridge"

"nothing can ruin One Direction, not even the biggest slut in the world like Taylor"

Tears start to roll down my face.

"I hope she dies in the hospital"

Selena rips the phone out of my hands. "that doesn't mean anything" She says

"it's the truth" I say to her "I am destroying not only a band but a great friendship" I say. and I start to sob.

"what!" She says and stands up "you didn't do anything!" Her voice starts to get louder

"stop" I says to her and her face starts to soften "go get them" I says and Selena stands up and leaves the room.

"taylor!" Louis and Harry say at the same time has the come running into the room, The look they give each other I can tell they are not in a good place with each other.

"Lou?" I say and his face brightens up has Harry's saddens "who is your best friend?" I ask

"what?" He says confused and than finished with a "I don't know"

"Haz?" I say "who is your best friend?"

"I don't know" he says also

"if I asked you this yesterday, do you know what the answer would have been?" I ask them, and both of them stare at the ground

"it would have been each other" I say sharply

"but he is a jerk!" Louis says

Harry backfires "at least I am not and idiot"

"STOP!" I say and the both shut up.
"I can't do this" I say, and I feel a tear falling done my face.

"do what?" Harry asks me

"ruin you guys" I say trying to hold back more tears "you both mean very very much to me, but this what ever this has turned into is bad, very bad not only me, but you two and especially one direction"

"what are you saying?" Louis asks me

"I am saying I have to choose" I say

"than pick me or Louis" Harry says

"I choose" I stop talking "I choose me" I say, both of them look up sharply

"what?" Louis ask

"Im done with this" I says "I need to worry about getting better, I go on tour in a month, and I don't need you two confusing me" I say

"you guys should go" Selena says sticking her head into the door

"I'm Sorry" I say they both walk out with out saying on more word.

"you okay?" She asks me

"no" I say

"which one is it?" She ask me

"which one is what?" I ask her confused

"which one is making your heart shatter?" She asks me, suddenly I knew what she meant, but I didn't know what my heart was telling me.

LOUIS POV

"Why?" I ask

"why what?" He asks me back

"why did you have to fall in love with her?" I ask

"the same reason you fell in love with her" Harry says to me

"you didn't believe in love" I tell him

"you're right" He says "but that because no one could make me believe in it, until her"

"why now?" I ask him "you have known her for years, why now"

"because she was always your's and I couldn't see it" He says " I wish I didn't I wish I could just let her fall in love with you again, but I can't"

"whatever" I say and start walking to my car

"Lou?" Harry calls me

"what!" I turn around

"i'm sorry" He says

"I don't get it!" I say "what kind of friend falls for his best pal's ex girlfriend"

"a bad one" He says

"damn right!" I say back to him

"No matter how badly I want to be your friend, I won't give up on her" He says "but we have to be cool with each other for the band sake"

"For the bands sake" I say "I will act like I like you" He looks at the ground "but just so you know you are NOT my friend"

" I wish I could be" He says back "you are still my best friend"

I don't respond, and get into my car.

HARRYS POV

maybe Louis is right, maybe falling in love makes me a total jerk. I can't help it, she is just so amazing, My head is telling me to give up on her but My heart is telling me to run into that hospital room and tell her I love her and will never ever leave her, ever. Louis has always been there for me my best friend and I could play dirty and go back in there, I am going win Taylor no matter what it takes.

TAYLOR'S POV

"Okay, Ms. Swift you are good to go, just take it easy the next two weeks" the doctor says has me and Selena are leaving the hospital.

"How are you feeling?" She ask has we get into her car

"my head is fine, my heart not so good" I say

"Taylor, you can't put ourself though this" She says "there is either one person you want to be with, or you don't want to be with either, and your just doing what you are doing to protect them"

"I would to do anything to keep from hurting them" I say

"I know" She says "even if it means lying"

"I'd Lie, to protect them, I would not be able to live with myself if I destroyed one direction and ruined a friendship"

"Ok, but your just gonna hurt your self more" she says

"let's go dress shopping for the teen choice awards!" I say "I need to get my
mind of this"

"okay!" she says "your nominated for 4 awards right?" she asks me

"yes!" I say "your nominated for 5!" I say cheerfully we both squeal with excitement!

LOUIS POV

" I think you both know why we called you two here" Simon says

"yea" we both reply

"what is wrong with you!" Simon screams! "louis I told you this already, you can not date her"

"but I love her" I say back

"you love her?" He says "than don't ruin her, putting her through this is destroying her"

"no he isn't" Harry says "he is not destroying her!" Is he defending me?

"really Harry?" Simon says "are you in 'love' with her too?"

"yes" He responds

"you both fell for the same girl" he starts to laugh "pathetic"

"it is not!" I say "you just cold hearted"

"maybe I am but I know what is important in life" he says

"she is important" Harry says

"and your career isn't?" he asks

"of course it is" I say back "but that doesn't mean she isn't"

"it is either your career or taylor" He says

"what!" Harry and I say at the same time

"you did this to me once, you will not do it again" I say and stand up, I feel tears forming in my eyes "you can not take her away again!"

"yes I can" He says and pulls out a contract

"me neither" I say also

"this Taylor girl is coming in between you too, I was wrong Louis the first tome but I am right this time, she is a sweet girl and she would never be able to ruin your friendship, You will not have to sign these, if you can get Taylor to pick you or Harry by midnight on friday after the teen choice awards, today is saturday that give you six days" Simon says

"so we have to get her to pick me or Harry?" I ask

"yes" he says "has long has you promise this will not interfere with music"

"deal!" Harry says, I look at harry and back at simon

"deal" I say also

"friday at midnight" Simon says one more tome before me and Harry walk out the door.
