For Alani

Alec's POV.
Me an Jace were headed to the hotel Dumort. The vamps took Alani because we let Camille out. Raphael said he would let her go if we got Camille back but she already vanished. Once we got in there was a stampede of vamps waiting for us. I told Jace to go find Alani.
Jace POV.
I ran down into the basement. I look through every cell and finally found Alani in the corner asleep. I texted Izzy and clary for backup to help Alec. I quickly broke the lock on the door and run up to Alani. I pick her up and start to walk out of the cell but when I was about to leave the basement I got hit in the back of the head hard. I instantly drop Alani. It took a second for me to gain my balance. I turned around to see Raphael. I charged at him with my sword in my hand but he used his vamp speed to dodge it. He pick me up and threw me across the room. He grabbed Alani and took off. Once I got up and started to walk out I ran into Izzy and clary. I asked "where's Alec at?" Izzy said " looking for you." I said " oh well we'll find him later but right now we need to find Alani. I run up the stairs and to the elevator. I hit the top floors button because I knew that's where Alec and Alani would be. Once the doors open to the loft I ran in. Alani was on the couch and Alec had Raphael on the ground. Alec yelled "Grab her and take her down stairs I'll met you there!". I gran her and took her down stairs. Once we got there vamps were waiting. Izzy clary and me run and started to kill them. I turned around to see one holding Alani by her neck its claws digging into her skin. I started to run to kill it but it was to late. It ripped her throat out. Izzy and clary fell to the floor crying while I stood there in shock. The other vamps left. I run up and grabbed her lifeless body in my arms. Just then Alec came out of the elevator. He saw and ran to her. I gave her to him.  He instantly dropped to the grand holding her to his chest screaming. He was bawling and screaming loud. It was the first time I have ever seen him like that ever. It broke my heart to see her dead and Alec a mess. She was his whole world and we all loved her she was one of the best things to walk in the institution.
