Mate of the Lycan (On Hold)

Trin's P.O.V.

I walk down the school hall hoping not to run into any of the guys from earlier. I just wanted one day not having to wash out dried blood from my shirt and face. I was surprised that I made it to my homeroom class without being pulled into an empty room or classroom.

My one friend soon ran into the classroom just as I sat in my chair. "You didn't hear it yet did you?" she asked, breathing heavily. "I ran straight here."

"Hear what?"

"Our pack new house and next alpha," she spat out seating in the chair next to me. "You are one out of the five that might be Drake Blackwood's mate. The whole school is talking about it and that you bare the mark of the lycanthrope."

I can feel my heart in my throat as I stood to my feet "This has to be some type of prank," I told her hoping she would say it was. But from the stares I was getting from the people in the hall, and hearing them say that's him one of the Drake Blackwood's chosen ones, I knew it wasn't a prank. "Maybe I can talk with some of the household heads."

"That's just it. My family is one of the five houses," Kat whispered looking down at her hands. "My father and the other household heads approves you as Drake's mate. I overheard them talking to the Alpha about how you are the purest one due to the mark of the lycanthrope you bare."

"I should go talk with the alpha," I told her trying to keep myself together "There must be something I can do to get me out of this."

"Maybe you can go talk with Drake," Kat insisted, "He's filling in for the weight coach today. Maybe you can change his mind since you or the others haven't received Drake's gift yet."

"That's right so it's not really official yet!"

Kat nodded with a smile.

"You're joking right," I shouted out from across the gym at Drake with some of the school bullies. I quickly making my way over to them "Everything the school is talking about, it's just rumors right?"

Drake look over his shoulder at me with a smirk before telling the school bullies to leave. He turns to face me with a dumbfounded look "About my choice of a possible mate who will be by my side to create a household?"

"Yes idiot!"

"Idiot huh?" he said with a smirk walking towards me. He's eyes dim with a crimson hue. That was when I realize that he wasn't a werewolf but a lycan. I quickly ran for the door, as soon as I try to open it he slams it shut, damn he was fast. "Oh now you want to run from me," he whispered into my ear seductively, turning me around to face him. Looking me dead in the eyes. "You will be mines if I want you to."

"No I won't," I snapped turn my head away from him.

"I didn't think I asked you if you wanted to," he said breathing down my neck. Pinning me against the door and his muscular body, placing himself between my legs. "I'm telling you that if I want you, you will be mine. I have the blessing of the alpha and the pack's five households. You see they all want me to choose you since you have the mark."

"That's just a rumor," I spat out, hoping that he couldn't tell if I was lying. "Whoever started that rumor just want to see me suffer!"

He cocked his head to the side amuse at what I said. "Oh really?" he smiled at me, turning my head to face him "Why don't you say that to me again," he said his eyes completely red, a sure sign that he is a lycan. "I just want to make sure you tell the truth."
