Chapter 1: Meeting Clarity Hunter Bones

(Clarity's POV)

I sat there quietly in my dads car. He had just dropped my brother Connor off at the high school and we were now headed to my new school. I started shaking slightly. I never was good at meeting new people. "You ok back there kiddo?" My dad asked "Yeah, just a little nervous" I said quietly "There's no reason for you to be nervous. There gonna love you" my dad said with a smile. Just moments later we pulled into the schools parking lot. As soon as my dad turned off the engine we got out of the car and walked inside my new school. We quickly walked the halls and into the principals office and up to the principal "Hello, I'm Mrs Robertson" the principal said (idk if that's the principals name) "I'm Arron Bones, and this is my daughter Clarity" my dad said kindly "Hello Clarity, would you like me to take you to your classroom?" She asked "Sure" I said shyly and turned to give my dad a hug "You'll do great kiddo" he said as he broke away from the hug "Have a good day" he said as he left the room "I'll try.." I whispered as me and the principal started walking towards my classroom. Just moments later we were at the door of my new classroom. She swiftly opened the door and we entered the classroom "Hello Ms Myers, I'm here with the new student" Mrs Robertson said "Oh yes, thank you for bringing her" Ms Myers said and then the principal left the room, closing the door behind her. "So what's your name?" Ms Myers asked "Clarity Bones" I said shyly "Well Ms Bones, you can go sit at that empty desk beside Leslie. Leslie raise your hand" Ms Myers said. I quickly looked around the classroom to see a girl with short blonde hair and blue eyes raising her hand. I quickly walked over to the desk beside her and started putting my books and such inside. After a few seconds Ms Myers started talking about whatever subject she was going on about before when I heard a faint voice from beside me "Hey, I'm Leslie" a voice said and I turned slightly to see Leslie holding out her hand "Nice to meet you" I said shyly as I shook her hand. Now that I was closer to her I could see just how beautiful she really was. I immediately blushed at the thought, making her giggle as she went back to listening to Ms Myers.

~Time Skip To Lunch/Recess~

I slowly left the building and headed to the school yard the moment the bell rang. Once I got outside I started heading towards the field with a large smile on my face. I couldn't help it, being able to just run around in the grass has always been something that makes me happy. Once I had found a nice spot that wasn't muddy or anything like that I sat down, taking in my surroundings. I kind of wish that we didn't have to move here. I really liked it at my old school. I had amazing friends, I was more confident, I didn't feel awkward.. But nothing I can do to change it now. After a few more minutes of thinking I heard a voice "A penny for your thoughts?" A kind voice asked and I quickly looked up to see Leslie "I'm just thinking about my old school" I said with a slight frown. She seemed to notice it and sat down beside me "Missing your friends?" She asked "Yeah... I don't miss the school, just the people that were there. For the most part everyone liked each other, and if some people didn't like each other they'd just keep a distance, unlike how the people here handle it" I said, glancing over at Janice "That's true. But people like Janice over there are just big bullies trying to make everyone feel just as bad as they do" she said "Your right" I said "Hey, how are you getting home today?" Leslie asked, changing the subject "The bus" I said simply "Which one?" She asked "Bus 274" I said back to her "Sweet! That's me and Jesse's bus" she said happily "Jesse?" I said questioningly "He's a boy in our class, he lives just across the road from me" she said "That's cool" I said with a smile "So is there anyone you think is attractive yet?" She asked curiously, causing me to blush "Maybe" I said with a slight giggle, causing her to laugh "Ya know your laugh is really cute" she said with a smile, causing me to blush even more "Oh haha" I said, giving her a light shove "Would you maybe like to see if you can sleep over this weekend?" She asked with a bigger smile than before "That'd be great!" I said excitedly. Just moments after I said that the bell rang "C'mon let's go!" She said happily, grabbing my arm as she dragged me into the school.

~Time Skip to After School~

At exactly 3pm the bell rang a everyone started heading outside. I quickly grabbed my homework and my song book and put them inside my bag. I quickly slung my bag over my shoulder and started walking outside of the classroom. I quickly walked through the halls and outside the building, scanning the area, trying to find my bus. After about a minute or so of looking I finally saw bus 274 waiting at the curb. I quickly ran over to the bus and walked inside. The moment I got inside I sat down in one of the middle seats and opened my bag and grabbed my song book and my pencil and started to write (Disclaimer: This song or any of the songs I use in this story do not belong to me but to the artists that sang them)
'Your so hypnotizing, could you be the devil could you be an angel?' I wrote slowly, only to be interrupted by a very pompous and irritating voice "What have you got there kid?" Janice asked as she tried to take the book from me. I immediately backed as far away from her as possible "What is that your little diary or something?" She asked with a snicker. In that moment I mustered up all the courage I had and replied "Even if it was your wouldn't have been able to read it in the first place" I said, loud and clear. She immediately jumped at me as I stood up to sit in the seat in front of me. But she didn't get ahold of me, but she did manage to rip the strap on my bag. The moment I sat down Janice tried to get to me but Leslie quickly ran over and sat beside me, a stern look on her face. After staring at each other for a little Janice left us to sit in the back seat with her friends "Thanks" I breathed out "No problem" she said, looking back at me with a smile "By the way, I never thought you'd have it in you to say something like that" she added "What do you mean?" I said "Well, my first impression of you was that you were to shy to do something like stand up to her" she said "Well she shouldn't be allowed to just go looking though other people's things just because she's older" I said quietly, causing her to smile "Your right. By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what were you writing anyway?" She asked "I was writing a song" I said shyly, a slight blush creeping onto my cheeks "Can I see?" She asked with a smile that could light up an entire room "I haven't really got a lot, but sure" I said, passing her the book "Your so hypnotizing, could be the devil could you be an angel" she read out loud "I think that's a good start, and I bet there would have been a lot more if Janice hadn't interrupted" she said "So are you still interested in having a sleep over?" She asked "Yeah! Id honestly love to have a sleepover with you" I said happily.  Just as she was about to say something the bus stopped "Oh! This is my stop" she said as she got up and ran off the bus. I looked out the window to see that it was also my spot, so I stood up and calmly walked off the bus. "Aren't you supposed to still be on the bus?" A boy asked "No, this is my stop" I said as I shyly started walking towards my house "Oh! Clarity! By the way, ask your parents tonight about staying over and tell me what they said tomorrow, ok?" She asked just after running in front of me "Ok" I said shyly. Suddenly she engulfed me in a tight hug, burying her head into the side of my neck. After a few seconds I hugged her back gently. After about a minute she let go of the hug and walked back over to the boy "See you tomorrow!" She yelled happily "See ya tomorrow" I said with a smile as I started walking to my house. After about 10 minutes of walking I was finally home. I quickly walked inside and took off my shoes "Hey munchkin" I heard a voice say. I quickly turned around to see Connor leaning against the wall with an apple in his hand "How was school?" I asked him "Eventful" he said "How about you?" He asked "Surprisingly my day was also rather eventful" I said with a slight smile "Oh really? Make any friends?" He asked "I've kinda become friends with a girl named Leslie" I said shyly "That's cool" he said, messing up my hair "Are mom and dad home yet?" I asked "Nah, dads still at the university and moms still got one last student" he said "Well if you need me I'll be in my room" I said as I walked upstairs and into my room. Once I was inside I plopped myself down onto my bed, sighing contently the moment my back touched the mattress. After just moments of laying there I slowly drifted off into a deep sleep...
