Labyrinth of memories(One shot)

I washed my face and look myself in the mirror. Bloodshot eyes, tired skin, and pale lips were to be seen. I can't sleep the whole night thanks to Insomnia. I slapped both of my cheeks and got ready for school after an hour and a half, my bus came taking the opportunity of the trip, I doze to dreamland.

"A, B, C, D, E, F, G..." Singing the alphabet cheerfully, it was cut off when the teacher spoke and introduced us to a new friend.
A kid with Brown hair, Black orbs and fair skin tone, filled my line of  vision. The setting was 12 years ago.

"I'll never forget you. You'll always be in my heart. From the day that I met you. Until the day that I'll die." I smiled as those words are the words that every lady longs to hear. He kissed my forehead and enveloped his arms around me. The promised he made 2 years ago.

"Who are you?"
"Who are you?"
"Who?Who?" "Are You?"

"STOP!"
I looked around when I realized it's  silent. All people inside the bus stare at me with a blank face and the driver push the button for the door to open, Billy gestured his hands as if telling me to get out already. Shaking my head,the bus goes back to business as usual. The whole ride, was all about me, staring at window stuck with nothingness, we reached the school. The moment I stepped my foot in the premisses, The speakers run on.

"Calling Victoria Kodaichi, proceed to the principal's office ASAP..."

I shook my head as Jane's annoying voice from the speakers filled the hallway. She really do know how to abuse her position as the Student Council President of the school.

"You'll be here or You'll be here? Hurry up!"
I shrug my shoulders and proceed towards the office when she followed up. Dea's voice lingers the hall. Her squeal can be heard fifty meters away from my location. She's already at the principal's office door.
''Vic! He's back!"
I frowned at her annoying scream. The moment I got onto the door, I looked at Jane, confused as she gave me a folder of some student's file. Judging from Dea's words and their look as Jane gave me the form, this can only be,

My eyes widened as I read the file. This can't be. Why? He used to be a student of this school during his first and second year. But went away, really far away when his third year came.
"Well, if it isn't the sweet heart. Kyaaaaah! Just how Gods favors you. He's in our class okay,  and your house is just in front of his. Was it destiny? "
Jane's retort made me shiver and glare at her. Destiny is just a piece of stupidity people made up just to console themselves when a coincidence happened that totally favours their idea. He would never come back when in fact, in the first place he wanted to leave.
"Why did he even leave anyway?"
Dea pipe up and pulled me out of my reverie with her question. Why did he left? Because of his folks' work? Or its just that he's hate me so much that he wants to forget me and left.

"Let's see, he's a douche?"

"Victoria!"

"Even as a Student Council exec and my daughter,You are not allowed to skip class. The bell rang for about an hour ago. Jane. What are you guys doing here?"
We all stood up in panic when the principal walks in, Jane on the other hand, remained calm as she jumps down from the table where she's laying and secretly returned the student file back on its own place. We all smiled apologetically to the principal before we could get us detention. Luckily, we didn't got one but instead, was stuck in a ear bleeding, soul finding, mind wrecking speech about the school's rule book, how she was when she was on high school and the importance of being prim and proper as a lady and were off to go.
