Keila~
It's been 2 days since I've seen Justin. I've been busy trying to get my life together and trying to figure out what the hell I was going to do now since I'm a high school graduate and I'm not going to college this fall.
It's crazy how fast life changes and it doesn't hit you that you are an adult until you have millions of responsibilities and things to do in order to go somewhere in life.
Luckily for me, I guess I did have a source of income, and it was pretty good too. After the photoshoot I had a few days ago, I realized that maybe it was something that I could do, at least until I'm settled down somewhere. I didn't even realize how much it actually would pay until I got the check with my pay from the shoot.
But, the reality is I don't really have any solid plans for what I'm going to do with my life and to be honest, that's kind of scary.
I heard my doorbell ring, I ran downstairs, knowing it was Desi.
Her and I had planned on having a girls day to go shopping. We wanted to make sure we got to spend all the time possible together before she moves to a different state in the fall for college.
I ran towards the door and opened it, revealing my best friend.
"Hey!!" I smiled, giving her a hug.
"Hey! Are you ready?" She asked me, hugging me back.
I nodded. "Let me just go grab my bag," I said, running up the stairs to grab my things.
Seconds later, I met her once again at the bottom of my stairs where she was waiting for me.
"So how have you been in the past 3 days that I haven't seen you?" She laughed.
"I've been good," I laughed. "Just stressing out about life, but what's new?"
She laughed. "Aren't we all?"
I nodded and laughed, following her out to her car where we both got in.
"So any news with the sex god of a man you've been talking to?" She smirked, looking over at me as we pulled up to a stop light.
"Oh my god," I laughed. "We're just friends, Desi."
"Mhm, okay. I saw the way you two looked at eachother at the party," she gave me the side eye, a smirk still present on her face.
"I don't know what you're talking about," I shook my head, looking out the window.
The past few days I had been thinking about Justin and I and what we were. I so badly wanted to just pretend like nothing was going on between us. I didn't want to put myself out there again to the point where I could get hurt again.
"Come on Keila, you can't lie to me. I know you too well," Desi laughed, interrupting my thoughts.
"Whatever," I shook my head, laughing quietly.
"Seriously though, you should totally go for it!" She said, beginning to drive again as the light turned green.
"I don't know," I shrugged.
"You're just stubborn." She added.
Within 10 minutes, we had pulled into a parking space at the mall and were heading inside to shop.
"I'm thinking we go to Urban Outfitters first, then Zara, then Nordstrom?"
"That's fine with me," I replied, grabbing my phone and bag before hopping out of the car and following her inside.
