"Come on! You promised me you would take me at 11:30, it is now 3:00pm!" the Brit yelled.
You see, the Brit was currently going through an art phase, more precisely what Lachlan liked to call the " ooooh colours phase". His last phase was effectively labelled the "shades of blue" phase.
~time skippy skip~
The couple arrived at the art store, with Lachlan trailing behind Vikk while carrying a basket. Vikk on the other hand went crazy, putting whatever he wanted in the basket.
"Okay. I need more canvases, paint mediums, oil paints, water colours, charcoal, pastel things, markers, a knife, gouache paints, ink, spray paint and photo paper".
"Why do you need a knife? We have a brilliant collection of knifes at home Vikky"
"Because those are kitchen knives, these are arty knives".
"Okay hun, but why do you need photo paper? Are you going to print out pictures and stick them to your paintings?"
" It's a surprise, I think you will enjoy it"
After Vikk finished getting all his supplies, they waited in line to pay. The total ended up being $221.70.

At home, Lachlan was lounging around in the living room watching TV while Vikk was in the study painting. A few hours pasted, then Vikk called Lachlan into the study.
"Lachy! Can you please come in here? I want to show you the painting I've been working on all day"
Lachlan walked into the study and was amazed at the sight. He had taken a picture of his hand and scanned it onto his painting. He cut out scrapbook paper into balloon shapes, and also painted designs onto the balloon shapes. There was a lighter painted on, giving him the idea that the balloon shaped things represented the flames.

"It's beautiful, I absolutely love it" Lachlan exclaimed.
"I was feeling a Nando's tonight, but seeing that I just spent $200 on art supplies, I will make dinner tonight"
"Lemme guess, mac and cheese?"
"Yes, because that is the only thing I can actually cook without burning the house down"
"Alrighty then, go relax or something while I make dinner"
The Brit went into the kitchen to start preparing dinner while Lachlan just stood in the study admiring Vikk's creativity.
